Hye-bi Yi
Royal Consort Hye of the Gyeongju Yi clan (; d. 3 February 1408) was the 3rd wife of King Gongmin of Goryeo. She was known with her Dharma name as Ho-wol () and her new title as Princess Hyehwa () given by Taejo of Joseon in 1392. Biography Background The future Royal Consort Hye was born in Gyeongju as the daughter of Yi Je-hyeon who was a Goryeo politician, philosopher, writer, and poet. Marriage and Palace life In April 1359 (8th year reign of King Gongmin), his Queen Consort, Queen Noguk who didn't have any successor to him and several other ministers asked the King to raise a concubine from the noble family. Joseon Dynasty
Joseon (; ; Middle Korean: 됴ᇢ〯션〮 Dyǒw syéon or 됴ᇢ〯션〯 Dyǒw syěon), officially the Great Joseon (; ), was the last dynastic kingdom of Korea, lasting just over 500 years. Gimhae Gim Clan
The Gimhae Kim clan () is one of the Korean clans. This clan traces their origin to Suro of Geumgwan Gaya. King Suro was the founder of Gaya confederacy, and his descendant, Kim Yu-sin is renowned for unifying the Silla polity. It was considered a commoner surname. Yi Hwa (1348–1408) or Grand Prince Uian, was a warrior and scholar in the late Goryeo period who became part of the early Joseon dynasty royal family as the fourth son of Yi Cha-ch'un, making him a younger half-brother to Yi Sŏng-gye, its founder.
