Hwang Min-kyoung
Hwang Min-kyoung (born 2 June 1990) is a South Korean professional volleyball player. She is part of the South Korea women's national volleyball team. At club level, she plays for Suwon Hyundai Engineering & Construction Hillstate, where she is also the team captain, a role she has held for three years. Career She became a volleyball player from her elementary school final year. The South Korea women's national volleyball team (Korean : 대한민국 여자 배구 국가대표팀) represents South Korea in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. It was one of the leading squads in the world in the 1970s, 1990s and 2010s, having won the bronze medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and placing fourth at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany, the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Great Britain and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The receiving team must not let the ball be grounded within their court. Suwon Hyundai Engineering & Construction Hillstate ( ko, 수원 현대건설 힐스테이트) is a South Korean professional volleyball team. The team was founded in 1977 and became fully professional in 2005. They are based in Suwon and are members of the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO). Their home arena is Suwon Gymnasium in Suwon. History The team won its first championship title in the 2010–11 season. In March 2016, Hyundai Hillstate won the club's second championship title by defeating the 2015–16 regular season winners Hwaseong IBK Altos 3–0 in the finals. The 2011 FIVB World Grand Prix was a women's volleyball tournament played by 16 countries from 5 to 28 August 2011. The finals were held at the Macau East Asian Games Dome in Macau, China. 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix
The 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 25th edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 32 teams between 7 July and 6 August. The Group 1 Final Round was held in Nanjing, China. Defending champions Brazil won their record twelfth title in the tournament after a 3–2 win over Italy. Serbia captured their third bronze medal in the competition by defeating China in a rematch of the previous year's Olympic final. Natália Pereira from Brazil was elected the MVP for the second straight year. In the Group 2 finals held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, Poland defeated South Korea in straight sets. 2017 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Grand Champions Cup
The 2017 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Grand Champions Cup was the 7th staging of the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup, a quadrennial international women's volleyball tournament organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The tournament was held in Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan from 5 to 10 September 2017. 6 national teams from 4 confederations competed in the tournament. China claimed their second title at the tournament with an unbeaten record. Brazil claimed the silver after a face-off in the final round with United States who finished third.
