Hval Sjokoladefabrikk
Hval sjokoladefabrikk is a chocolate factory in Sandefjord, Norway. It manufactures and markets confectionery made of chocolate and marzipan. It was established by Rolf Rune Forsberg at Pindsle in 1995 as Vestfold County’s only chocolate factory. The factory distributes its products throughout Norway along with some export abroad. History In 1999, Hval Sjokoladefabrikk established its first distribution deal with a major grocery store chain in Norway, ICA Gruppen. Roughly 100 ICA grocery stores began selling their products. The products were also sold in Color Line ferries. Prior to 1999, their products were only found in Narvesen convenience stores and Esso gas stations. ''Aksjeselskap'' is the Norwegian term for a stock-based company. It is usually abbreviated AS, historically often written as A/S. An AS is always a limited company, i.e. the owners cannot be held liable for any debt beyond the stock capital. ICA Gruppen
ICA Gruppen AB (publ) (; "ICA Group"; from ''Inköpscentralernas aktiebolag'', ) (formerly Hakon Invest AB) is a Swedish retailer franchise with a focus on food and health. Christen Sveaas (born 18 June 1956) is a Norwegian businessman, investor, art collector and donor. He is the founder and sole owner of Kistefos AS, vice chairman of the board of the Kistefos Museum and chairman of the board of Anders Sveaas Allmennyttige Fond. Background Christen Sveaas was born in Oslo, and was awarded a degree from the University of St. Gallen in 1981. His paternal grandfather is Anders Sveaas (1840–1917), who founded the company Kistefos Træsliberi in 1889. Vestfold
Vestfold is a traditional region, a former county and a current electoral district in Eastern Norway. In 2020 the county became part of the much larger county of Vestfold og Telemark.
