Husum–Kiel Railway
The Husum–Kiel railway is a main line railway in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. While the central section of the line, which is shared with the Neumünster–Flensburg line, has two tracks and is electrified, its western and eastern sections are single track and are not electrified. It connects the cities of Husum and Kiel via Rendsburg and serves as an important east-west rail axis between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. Historically, the line ran from Husum to Kiel via Erfde and Rendsburg. The current line runs via Jübek, Schleswig and Rendsburg, with the Jübek–Rendsburg section being shared with the Neumünster–Flensburg line. Marsh Railway
The Marsh Railway (german: Marschbahn) is a main line in the state of Schleswig-Holstein in Germany that links the stations of Elmshorn in the south and Westerland on the island of Sylt in the north. It is part of long route from Hamburg-Altona to Westerland (Sylt) and is listed in the Deutsche Bahn timetables as . The first part of it was opened in 1845 and is one of the oldest lines in Germany. Route The Marsh Railway, as its name suggests, mainly runs through marshlands. There are also some sections of the line that run through the higher-lying geest. The line branches off the Hamburg-Altona-Kiel railway line in Elmshorn. From Elmshorn, it runs in an arc via Glückstadt to Itzehoe. Eckernförde
Eckernförde ( da, Egernførde, sometimes also , nds, Eckernför, sometimes also ) () is a German town in Schleswig-Holstein, Rendsburg-Eckernförde, on the coast of the Baltic Sea approximately 30 km north-west of Kiel. Felde is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is part of the municipal association Achterwehr. Felde is about 12 km away from Kiel and the federal highway 210 to Rendsburg, since 1989 the federal highway 202. Felde has an estimated population of 2121 residents, in an area of 13.87 km. Rendsburg High Bridge
The Rendsburg High Bridge (german: Rendsburger Hochbrücke, officially ''Eisenbahnhochbrücke Rendsburg'') is a railway viaduct on the Neumünster–Flensburg line that also serves as a transporter bridge. The bridge crosses the Kiel Canal at Rendsburg in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. It is federally owned through the ''Federal Water and Navigation Administration'' that also owns and runs the canal. Rendsburg District Railway

Rendsburg Station
Rendsburg station is located in the city of Rendsburg in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein and is at the junction of the Neumünster–Flensburg and Rendsburg Kiel lines. It is currently operated by Deutsche Bahn, which classifies it as a category 4 station. There used to be a direct line from Rendsburg to Husum via Erfde, as distinct from the current route via Jübek. A short section of the Erfde line is still used for the carriage of freight. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Kiel Canal was built as along with Rendsburg High Bridge over it and the Rendsburg Loop, which allowed trains to continue to use Rendsburg station. Büdelsdorf
Büdelsdorf ( da, Bydelstorp) is a town in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated on the river Eider and the Kiel Canal, approx. north of Rendsburg, and west of Kiel, just off the motorway. History The earliest inhabitants of the area which later became Büdelsdorf, were Stone-Age people who lived there around 3000 BC. Modern Büdelsdorf originates from a small settlement attached to Rendsburg around 1300 AD. In 1777, work on the Eider Canal linking the Baltic Sea to the North Sea began. In 1779, the boundaries of village were defined. In 1827, Hartwig Marcus Holler opened the Carlshütte, the first industrial-age iron- and steelworks in the duchy.
