Mario Alberto Ettore Monicelli (; 16 May 1915 – 29 November 2010) was an Italian film director and screenwriter and one of the masters of the ''Commedia all'Italiana'' (Comedy Italian style). He was nominated six times for an Oscar, and was awarded the Golden Lion for his career. Helga Anders (11 January 1948 – 30 March 1986) was an Austrian actress. She was born Helga Scherz in Innsbruck, to an Austrian father and a German mother, and she grew up in Ruhpolding and Bielefeld after her parents divorced. Gianrico Tedeschi (20 April 1920 – 27 July 2020) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Life and career Born in Milan in April 1920, Tedeschi got a degree in pedagogy before enrolling at the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art, which he abandoned after two years to make his professional debut with the Evi Maltagliati-Salvo Randone-Tino Carraro stage company. In the late 1940s he entered the Andreina Pagnani-Gino Cervi theatrical company, with whom he got his first personal success for his performance in the comedy play ''Quel signore che venne a pranzo''. He later worked intensively with Luchino Visconti and with the Piccolo Teatro directed by Giorgio Strehler. He also toured in the United States, the Soviet Union, Paris and London. Age & Scarpelli () is the stage name used by the pair of Italian screenwriters Agenore Incrocci (1914–2005) and Furio Scarpelli (1919–2010). Together, they wrote the script for about a hundred movies, mainly satirical comedies. The duo started working together in '' Totò cerca casa'' of 1949, and ended their collaboration in the 1980s. They worked for many famous Italian directors, like Sergio Leone (''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly''), Mario Monicelli (including their major work, ''L'armata Brancaleone''), Dino Risi, Luigi Comencini, Pietro Germi and Ettore Scola and they wrote the dialogues of many Totò movies.
