Christopher “ooh-ly” Dooley Jr. (born March 7, 1989), better known by his stage name Hurricane Chris, is an American rapper. His commercial debut single was "A Bay Bay", and his debut studio album was ''51/50 Ratchet'' (2007). In 2020, Chris was arrested for second degree murder. Career 2007–08: Major label signing and breakthrough with ''51/50 Ratchet'' On April 10, 2007, Hurricane Chris released his debut commercial single, called "A Bay Bay". The song was produced by Phunk Dawg. On August 8, Chris released the second commercial single, called " The Hand Clap". South By Southwest
South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and Convention (meeting), conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987 and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year. In 2017, the conference lasted for 10 days with the interactive track lasting for five days, music for seven days, and film for nine days. There was no in-person event in 2020 and 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Austin, Texas; both years, there was a smaller online event instead. Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979), better known by his stage name the Game or simply Game, is an American rapper. Born in Compton, California, he initially released a series of mixtapes under the wing of fellow West Coast rapper JT the Bigga Figga. After releasing his debut independent album '' Untold Story'' in 2004, he was eventually discovered by record producer Dr. Dre and signed to his Aftermath Records label imprint. ''Unleashed'' is the second and most recent studio album by American rapper Hurricane Chris. It was released on December 21, 2009, by Polo Grounds Music and J Records. This record would later be his final studio release with Polo Grounds and J Records. Recording sessions took place from 2008 to 2009, featuring the executive production from Hurricane Chris himself, alongside Bryan Leach and Anthony Murray. Aside from the executive production, the album features the production from Play-N-Skillz, Shawty Redd and Fiend, among others. The album was supported by two singles: "Halle Berry (She's Fine)" featuring Superstarr, and " Headboard" featuring Mario and Plies, which both of these singles did not have success on the music charts. Upon its release, the album received mixed or average reviews from critics. Leigh Elliott, known professionally as Lee Major, is an American hip hop producer also known by the monikers Lee Major Kid and The Inkredibles. Born in Fort Myers, Florida, Plies was a wide receiver on the Miami Redskins football team of Miami University in Ohio in 1996 and 1997 before beginning his musical career. After dropping out of college, he was signed to Slip-n-Slide Records, he released four studio albums from 2007 until 2010.
