Huntington Plaza
Huntington Plaza, formerly the Huntington Trust Building, is an office building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It is owned by Huntington Bancshares, and is part of the Huntington Center complex, which also contains the Huntington Center skyscraper, the Huntington National Bank Building, and DoubleTree Hotel Guest Suites Columbus. The building was built by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the same firm that designed the Huntington Center, the PNC Bank Building, and Chase Tower in downtown Columbus. Benham, Richards & Armstrong, a firm from Columbus, contributed to the design. The building, one of the earliest contemporary buildings around Capitol Square, was built for Huntington's mortgage subsidiary and other tenants. The building was built on a plaza that levels out the site, which slopes down toward the Scioto River. Broad Street (Columbus, Ohio)
Broad Street is a major thoroughfare in Central Ohio, predominantly in Franklin County and Columbus. It stretches east from West Jefferson at Little Darby Creek to Pataskala. The street is considered one of Columbus's two main roads, along with High Street. Broad Street was first laid out around 1797, when Franklinton was settled. In 1812, when Columbus was founded, a new section of the street was built in the new city. The street first connected to the rest of the settled country in 1831, when the Ohio and Erie Canal reached Columbus. In 1833, the National Road was extended to Columbus, utilizing all of West Broad Street. In the mid-to-late 19th century, East Broad Street became a fashionable place for wealthy homeowners, and large mansions were built along the tree-lined street. Richard Michael DeWine (; born January 5, 1947) is an American politician and attorney serving as the 70th and current governor of Ohio. Jo Ann Davidson
Jo Ann Davidson (born September 28, 1927) is an American politician of the Republican Party. A member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1981 to 2000, she was Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1995–2000. She is also the national committeewoman for Republican Party for Ohio. Davidson was appointed to the Ohio Casino Control Commission by Governor John R. Kasich on February 23, 2011. George Voinovich
George Victor Voinovich (July 15, 1936June 12, 2016) was an American politician who served as a United States senator from Ohio from 1999 to 2011, the 65th governor of Ohio from 1991 to 1998 and the 54th mayor of Cleveland from 1980 to 1989, the last Republican to serve in that office.
