Hunt Club Road
Hunt Club Road, also known as Ottawa Road 32, is a major east–west route in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It originally ran from a dead end east of Bank Street to the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club; later, there were many extensions due to the 1970s housing boom, first westward to Riverside Drive, then eastward to Hawthorne Road in the late 1980s. The section between Bank Street and Riverside Drive, originally only one lane in each direction, was expanded to two lanes in each direction in 1993–1994. It was further extended across the Rideau River and the southern edge of the suburbs to Richmond Road by the late 1990s; this extension is signed as West Hunt Club Road by the City of Ottawa. Construction to extend Hunt Club eastward to Highway 417 near Ramsayville was completed on August 21, 2014. Hunt Club Park
Hunt Club Park (french: Parc Hunt Club) is a residential neighbourhood in Gloucester-Southgate Ward in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The Ottawa Neighbourhood Study defines the boundaries of the neighbourhood as being Johnston Road-Blohm Drive and Hunterswood Crescent on the north, Hunt Club Road on the south, Hawthorne Road on the east and Conroy Road on the west. The neighbourhood generally corresponds to Census Tract5050001.08an5050001.07which had a combined population of 8,825 as of the Canada 2016 Census. The Census also showed 5 people living east of Hawthorne Road, an area generally not considered part of the neighbourhood, but part of the former census tract. History Originally part of Gloucester Township, what is now Hunt Club Park was annexed by the city of Ottawa in 1950, though at the time it was just farm land. The Hunt Club
SectorSeven was a Canadian punk band from in Grimsby, Ontario, founded in 1992. Their name, which was originally two words, is taken from the 1969 science-fiction novel The Andromeda Strain. History The band began with Lee Williamson (guitar), Mike Burke (drums), Jon Gauthier (vocals, guitar), Brad Parent (bass) and Ryan Allan (guitar). In 1998, they released their first album, ''Comfort Zone'', on United Records. In 1999, they released ''Along the Way'', on Raw Energy Records. The album received airplay on college radio and was profiled on Edge 102's ''Indie Hour with Dave Bookman''. Much Music VJ, Rachel Perry called it "some of the best Canadian punk I've heard since Propagandhi." In 2000, Allan left the band and they were signed to Sonic Unyon, which released both of their previous albums as the set ''Dual''. A club (also known as a cudgel, baton, bludgeon, truncheon, cosh, nightstick, or impact weapon) is a short staff or stick, usually made of wood, wielded as a weapon since prehistoric times.
