Ilka Grüning
Ilka Grüning (born Ilka Henriette Grunzweig; 4 September 1876 – 11 November 1964) was an Austrian-Hungarian actress. Born in Vienna in the old Austrian-Hungarian Empire, she was one of many Jewish actors and actresses that were forced to flee Europe when the Nazis came to power in 1933. A respected and famous actress of her time in the German-language area, she was forced to play bit parts in Hollywood. Rudolf Lettinger
Rudolf Lettinger (26 October 1865 in Hamburg – 21 March 1937 in Berlin-Schöneberg) was a German stage and film actor. He made his stage debut in 1883 when he played the role of Kosinsky in Friedrich Schiller's drama ''The Robbers''. Some of his more prominent roles in his prestigious stage career were ''Cyrano de Bergerac'' and Gessler in ''William Tell''. He also worked with acclaimed stage director Max Reinhardt. In 1912, Lettinger played his first film role in ''Das Geheimnis von Monte Carlo''. Lettinger appeared in over 90 films until 1931, mostly as a supporting actor. His best-known film is perhaps '' The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari'' (1920), where Lettinger portrayed Dr. Olsen. Peter Ostermayr
Peter Ostermayr (18 July 1882 – 7 May 1967) was a German film producer, screenwriter and film director. Ostermayr was a pioneer during the early years of German cinema, with his brothers Franz Osten and Ottmar Ostermayr.Bock & Bergfelder p.350 In 1907 they took over their father's photography business and turned into a film studio. After serving in the First World War he founded a company which later evolved into Bavaria Film, and acquired the Emelka Studios in Munich. While Bavaria went on to become a leading German production company, Ostermayr had left by the mid-1920s and worked at several other studios including the giant UFA. Following the Second World War he entered independent production, and specialised in heimatfilm. He was made an honorary president of the West German Film Producers' Association.
