Hungarian Embassy To The United States
The Embassy of Hungary in Washington, D.C. is Hungary's diplomatic mission to the United States. It is located at the Brodhead-Bell-Morton Mansion. It was previously located at 3910 Shoemaker Street, Northwest, Washington, D.C., in the Cleveland Park neighborhood. Hungary also has consulate offices in Chicago, New York City and Los Angeles. John Edwards
Johnny Reid Edwards (born June 10, 1953) is an American lawyer and former politician who served as a U.S. senator from North Carolina. He was the Democratic nominee for vice president in 2004 alongside John Kerry, losing to incumbents George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. He also was a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2004 and 2008. Edwards defeated incumbent Republican Lauch Faircloth in North Carolina's 1998 Senate election. Toward the end of his six-year term, he opted to retire from the Senate and focus on a Democratic campaign in the 2004 presidential election. He eventually became the 2004 Democratic nominee for vice president, the running mate of presidential nominee Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts. László Szabó (born 1965) is a Hungarian diplomat, physician, businessman and politician, who served as Hungarian Ambassador to the United States between 2017 and 2020. Prior to that, he served as CEO of the Teva Hungary Ltd. pharmaceutical manufacturing (2010–2014), then Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade in the Third Orbán Government (2014–2017). András Simonyi (born 16 May 1952) is a former Hungarian ambassador, transportation economist, author. He is an independent consultant living in the U.S. He is a senior fellow at the Global Energy Center Atlantic Council of the United States. He is also associated with the George Washington University, Washington D.C. From 2012 to 2018 he was the managing director of the Center for Transatlantic Relations at the Paul Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC. He was the Hungarian ambassador to the United States between 2002 and 2007. He was also Hungary's first ambassador to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. His professional focus today is energy security, the role of the private sector in energy transition.
