Hungarian American Football League
The Hungarian Football League (HFL) is the top tier national American football competition in Hungary, organized by the Hungarian Federation of American Football (MAFSZ). The competition was formerly called Hungarian American Football League (MAFL) ( hu, Magyarországi Amerikai Futballcsapatok Ligája), the top tier as MAFL Division I and the second tier as MAFL Division II; since 2012 the top tier is HFL, the 2nd tier is MAFSZ Division I and the 3rd tier is MAFSZ Division II. History The Hungarian American Football League (MAFL) began in 2005 under the guidance of the Hungarian Federation of American Football (MAFSZ) with 4 teams (Budapest Wolves, Győr Sharks, Debrecen Gladiators, Nagykanizsa Demos. Fehérvár Enthroners
The Fehérvár Enthroners established in 2007 are an American football team from Székesfehérvár, Hungary. The Enthroners are competing in the Hungarian Football League. The team starts in the 2023 season in the European League of Football (ELF). History After establishing in 2007, the team participated in the lowest league without noticeable success until 2015, reaching play-off for the first time. In 2016 a new football program started: the team moved to First Field, the first Hungarian American football stadium, and finished runners-up in tier 3, promoted into tier 2. In 2017 the Enthroners won Division I undefeated, and since then they participate in the HFL. I 2018 they finished in the 5th place, but in 2019, after finishing 3rd place in the regular season, they won Hungarian Bowl XIV. Újpest (; german: Neu-Pest, en, New Pest) is the 4th District in Budapest, Hungary. It is located on the left bank of the Danube River. ThZala Predatorsor ZP for short, are an American Football team based in the west of Hungary in the provincial town of Zalaegerszeg. They play iMAFLVeritas Division II and are a member of the nearly 20-team-strong Hungarian American Football League. Founded in 2004, the club played their first game against Nagykanizsa Demons in August 2005. Since then, the club has grown and boasts a growing Booster Club, a development Junior team and a Cheerleading team. ZP play in the West Division II group.
