Hundred Of Adelaide
The Hundred of Adelaide is a cadastral hundred in the city of Adelaide spanning all the inner suburbs south of River Torrens. It is one of the eleven hundreds of the County of Adelaide, and was one of the first hundreds to be proclaimed. Like the city it surrounds, the Hundred was named after Queen Adelaide, and was named by Governor Frederick Robe in 1846. It is ; close to but not exactly one hundred square miles as with most of the other hundreds. Its north boundary is the Torrens River and the Sturt River forms the south east boundary, with the hundred extending to the Adelaide foothills. The Hundred of Adelaide includes all of Adelaide's metropolitan area south of the Torrens and north of the Sturt River, with those inner suburbs north of the Torrens falling in the Hundred of Yatala. Urrbrae, South Australia
Urrbrae is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is located in the City of Mitcham. Located at the foot of the Adelaide Hills, it is bordered on the east by the South Eastern Freeway, and the Old Toll House, which marked the traditional entrance to the city of Adelaide in the 19th century. History In the early 1850s, Robert Forsyth Macgeorge bought land in the area and built a house, naming the estate Urrbrae after the village Haugh of Urr in Scotland; the word ''brae'' refers to a hillside, especially near a river or creek. The City of Mitcham is a local government area in the foothills of southern Adelaide, South Australia. City Of Unley
The City of Unley is a local government area in the Adelaide metropolitan region. It is located directly south of the Adelaide city centre. The Corporate Town of Unley was created in 1871, when 2,000 signatories to a petition from residents of the several towns of Unley, Parkside, Black Forest, Goodwood and Fullarton requested the Governor allow them to form their own municipality and thus sever from the District Council of Mitcham.
