Humsafar
''Humsafar'' ( ur, , lit=Companion or Life Partner) is a 2011 Pakistani drama telenovela based on the novel of the same name by Farhat Ishtiaq (who also wrote the screenplay), and directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. It stars Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Naveen Waqar along with Atiqa Odho, and Hina Khawaja Bayat in supporting roles. ''Humsafar'' become the most successful program of the channel to date, earning it widespread acclaim and international recognition. Due to its success, critics referred to this era of Pakistani television as a "Golden Age". It was claimed highest rated serial at that time in Pakistan with the TRPs of 9.71, peaking at 11.9 trps. Plot Khirad Ahsaan belongs to a small middle-class community in Hyderabad and lives with her widowed mother, Maimoona, in a small apartment. Fawad Khan
Fawad Afzal Khan ( ur, ) (born 29 November 1981) is a Pakistani actor, producer, screenwriter, model and singer having received several awards including a Filmfare Award, two Lux Style Awards and six Hum Awards. Khan began his acting career on the television sitcom, ''Jutt and Bond''. He formed an alternative rock band, Entity Paradigm, with the show's co-stars and began his music career as its lead singer. Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch
Quratulain Balouch ( ur, ) is a Pakistani American singer-songwriter. Also known as QB or the Humsafar Girl, she became popular for her title track " Woh Humsafar Tha" in Hum TV's serial '' Humsafar''. Career Balouch has no formal music education. She grew up listening to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Muhammad Juman, Pathanay Khan and others. Her singing career started with her cover of Reshma's "Ankhian Nu Ren De" in 2011. Woh Humsafar Tha ( ur, , ''lit.'' He was yco-journeyer) is a ghazal written in 1971 by Naseer Turabi. It serves as the title song for the Pakistani drama serial ''Humsafar''. The ghazal was originally sung by Abida Parveen and later by Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch. Background This ghazal was written in 1971 after the Fall of Dhaka.
