Humprecht Jan Czernin
Humprecht Jan Czernin ( cs, Humprecht Jan Černín; 14 February 1628, Radenín – 3 March 1682, Kosmonosy) was a Czech noble and diplomat, member of the Czernin family. Biography Humprecht Jan Czernin was the Habsburg imperial ambassador to Venice and Rome. He was appointed ambassador of King Leopold in Venice in 1659. Humprecht died at the castle in Kosmonosy on 3 March 1682 at the age of 54 years. He was buried in the chapel of St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, but his heart was placed in a tin box and placed in the Czernin Chapel of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Stará Boleslav. Legacy The Czernin Palace was commissioned by him in the 1660s. He had also the Humprecht Castle in Sobotka Sobotka () is a town in Jičín District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. Radenín is a municipality and village in Tábor District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 500 inhabitants. Administrative parts The villages of Bítov, Hroby, Kozmice, Lažany, Nuzbely and Terezín are administrative parts of Radenín. Etymology The original name of the village was Radonín. The name was derived from the personal name Radoň, meaning "Radoň's (court)". In the second half of the 14th century, the name was distorted to Radenín. The House of Czernin ( cs, Černínové z Chudenic; german: Czernin von und zu Chudenitz) is a Czech noble family that was one of the oldest and most prominent noble families in the Kingdom of Bohemia. Czernin Palace
The Czernin Palace ( cs, Černínský palác) is the largest of the baroque palaces of Prague, which has served as the offices of the Czechoslovak and later Czech foreign ministry since the 1930s.
