Humanicide
''Humanicide'' is the ninth studio album by the American thrash metal band Death Angel, released on May 31, 2019. Like their previous three studio albums, ''Humanicide'' was produced by Jason Suecof, while its release marks the first time the band had recorded more than three albums with the same lineup. In November 2019, the title track was nominated for the Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance", making it Death Angel's first ever Grammy nomination. In October 2020, Death Angel released an acoustic version of "Revelation Song" on their EP ''Under Pressure''. Death Angel
Death Angel is an American thrash metal band from Daly City, California, initially active from 1982 to 1991 and again since 2001. Death Angel has released nine studio albums, two demo tapes, one box set and three live albums. The band has gone through several line-up changes, leaving guitarist Rob Cavestany as the only constant member; he and vocalist Mark Osegueda (who joined the group in 1984) are the only members of Death Angel to appear on all of their studio albums. Death Angel is often referred to as one of the key bands in the Bay Area thrash metal movement of the 1980s, and secured opening slots at club venues that decade, including opening for their peers Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, Testament, Overkill, D.R.I., Mercyful Fate and Possessed. The discography of Death Angel, an American thrash metal band, consists of nine studio albums, one EP, two live albums, two compilation albums, seven singles, ten music videos and two demo cassettes. Death Angel was formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1982 by guitarists Rob Cavestany and Gus Pepa, bassist Dennis Pepa and drummer Andy Galeon. The lead vocalist position was originally filled by Dennis Pepa, until Mark Osegueda became the band's permanent singer in 1984. The Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance is an award presented at the Grammy Awards to recording artists for works (songs or albums) containing quality performances in the heavy metal music genre. ''The Evil Divide'' is the eighth studio album by the American thrash metal band Death Angel, released on May 27, 2016. Jason Suecof (born April 3, 1980) is an American record producer, audio engineer and guitarist best known for his work with heavy metal bands such as Trivium, Battlecross, Death Angel, All That Remains, Bury Your Dead, The Black Dahlia Murder, and The Autumn Offering. In addition, Suecof also has been the guitarist for heavy metal bands Capharnaum and Charred Walls of the Damned. Career He produces most of his albums at his own Orlando, Florida-based studio, Audio Hammer. Ted Jensen
Ted Jensen (born September 19, 1954) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered many recordings, including the Eagles' ''Hotel California'', Green Day's '' American Idiot'' and Norah Jones' ''Come Away with Me''. Biography Ted Jensen was born to Carl and Margaret (Anning) Jensen, both of whom were musicians. Carl had studied at Yale University. Margaret went to Oberlin College & Conservatory and Skidmore College and was also a pilot. Carl and Margaret met on a train while going to a choral workshop. Ted has one brother, Rick, and two daughters, Kristen and Kim. While attending High School, Jensen was building his own stereo and recording equipment and began recording local bands both in the studio and at live events.
