Human Rights Award Of Korea
The Human Rights Award of Korea ( ko, 대한민국인권상) is the highest human rights award of the Republic of Korea, bestowed annually by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea. It was established in 2005 for human rights organizations, and started to award individuals from 2007 to recognise the contribution to Korean and international human rights. The award are presented at annual Human Rights Day Ceremony on 10 December in every year. Lee Myung-bak
Lee Myung-bak (; ; ; born 19 December 1941) is a South Korean businessman and politician who served as the 10th president of South Korea from 2008 to 2013. Before his presidency, he was the CEO of Hyundai Engineering and Construction, and the mayor of Seoul from 2002 to 2006. He is married to Kim Yoon-ok and has three daughters and one son. His older brother, Lee Sang-deuk, is a South Korean politician. He is a Christian attending Somang Presbyterian Church. Yeungnam University
Yeungnam University is a private research university located in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang, South Korea. The university's predecessors, Taegu College and Chunggu College, were founded in Daegu in 1947 and 1950 respectively. In 1967, the two colleges were merged by President Park Chung-hee to form Yeungnam University. In 1972, the university's new main campus opened in Gyeongsan east of Daegu. The National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, often shortened to the National Assembly in domestic English-language media, is the unicameral national legislature of South Korea. Elections to the National Assembly are held every four years. The latest legislative elections were held on 15 April 2020. The National Assembly has 300 seats, with 253 constituency seats and 47 proportional representation seats; 30 of the PR seats are assigned on additional member system, while 17 PR seats use the parallel voting method. Ha Tae-keung ( Korean: 하태경, born 26 April 1968) is South Korean activist and politician who is currently a member of National Assembly representing the 1st constituency of Haeundae District in Busan. He has served as Vice President of the Bareun Party, a Vice President of the Bareunmirae Party, and one of the co-Presidents of the New Conservative Party. Citizens' Coalition For Economic Justice
Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice (CCEJ) is a citizens' movement in South Korea, which was founded in 1989. The movement works for economic justice, protection of the environment, for the reunification of Korea and for democratic and social development. Though it was founded not even twenty-five years ago, it has grown to encompass 35,000 members and 35 branches. In voicing the concerns of citizens, CCEJ has achieved improvements within education, developed policy alternatives, and lobbied for legal reforms.
