Human Design (album)
''Human Design'' is the sixth studio album by Australian alternative rock band Birds of Tokyo. It was announced on 28 February 2020, and was released on 24 April 2020. ''Human Design'' debuted at number 1 on the ARIA Charts, becoming the band's second chart-topping album after '' March Fires'' in 2013. The album marks a shift in direction for the band as the lyrics reflect and documents the breakdown of singer Ian Kenny's marriage. Kenny said: "These four singles we've released over the last 18 months have each been very personal and direct in different ways. It's great that they seem to have struck deep chords with lots of people, but in the first instance, I was just writing words to stop myself going nuts". Kenny later added: "It's filled with regret ..I could have said things better, but the result is eloquent and emotional". Birds Of Tokyo
Birds of Tokyo are an Australian alternative rock band from Perth, Western Australia. Their debut album, ''Day One,'' gained them domestic success, reaching number three on the AIR Independent Album charts and spending a total of 36 consecutive weeks in the top ten. In 2008, the band released ''Universes'', which made it to number three on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart. 2010 saw the band's self-titled third studio release '' Birds of Tokyo'' spend over eight months on the Australian top 20, peaking at number two on the ARIA Albums Chart. The double platinum album received the 2010 ARIA Award for Best Rock Album and in early 2011 the band's breakthrough hit " Plans" ranked number four on Triple J's Hottest 100. ARIA Music Awards Of 2019
The ARIA Music Awards of 2019 are the 33rd Annual Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (generally known as ARIA Music Awards or simply The ARIAs) and consist of a series of awards, including the 2019 ARIA Artisan Awards, ARIA Hall of Fame Awards, and ARIA Fine Arts Awards and the ARIA Awards. The ARIA Awards ceremony were held on 27 November 2019 and broadcast from the Star Event Centre, Sydney around Australia on the Nine Network. Guy Sebastian hosted the ceremony, he also performed his track, "Choir", and won two categories. On 24 September 2019 the Fine Arts and Artisan Award nominees were announced and the winners were determined on 10 October. ARIA had revealed the nominees for the ARIA Awards on 10 October. EMI Group Limited (originally an initialism for Electric and Musical Industries, also referred to as EMI Records Ltd. or simply EMI) was a British transnational conglomerate founded in March 1931 in London. Streaming media is multimedia that is delivered and consumed in a continuous manner from a source, with little or no intermediate storage in network elements. The compact disc (CD) is a digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings.
