Daniel Huling
Daniel "Dan" Huling (born July 16, 1983) is an American distance running, runner who specializes in the 3000-meter steeplechase. He holds a personal record of 8:13.29 minutes for the event, set in 2010. He has represented the United States at the World Championships in Athletics four times (2009 to 2015). He was the American steeplechase champion at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 2010. He also ran at the 2010 IAAF Continental Cup. Collegiately, he competed for the Miami RedHawks. Dong Huling
Tung Hu-ling (董虎嶺, Pinyin: Dǒng Hǔlǐng, 1917–1992) was a master of t'ai chi ch'uan, known for teaching Yang style and Tung style, and an early leader in the spread of t'ai chi chuan worldwide. Born in Ren County, Hebei, China, his father Tung Ying-chieh was a top disciple of Yang Ch'eng-fu and famous for his fighting skills. Also highly skilled and creative himself, Tung Hu-ling taught in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe. He then emigrated to Hawaii, founding a school in Honolulu, continued teaching workshops around the world, and carried on the Tung family legacy. Early life Tung trained under his father Tung Ying-chieh, Yang-style Grandmaster Yang Ch'eng-fu, and several other well-known teachers, practicing the slow set for eight years, learning the sword after ten years, and the saber after fourteen, then moving on to advanced study. James Hall Huling
James Hall Huling (March 24, 1844 – April 23, 1918) was an American Republican businessman and politician from West Virginia who served as a United States representative in the 54th United States Congress. Congressman Huling was born in Williamsport in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, on March 24, 1844. He died April 23, 1918. He went to school at Lycoming College in Williamsport. He served in the Pennsylvania Cavalry in 1863. He engaged in the lumber business and moved to West Virginia in 1870, he left the lumber business in 1874. He served as mayor of Charleston, West Virginia, from 1884 to 1888 but declined a renomination. He won election from West Virginia's 3rd District in 1894 as a Republican to the Fifty-fourth Congress (March 4, 1895 – March 3, 1897). He returned to business in Charleston, where he died April 23, 1918. Congressman Huling was buried there in Spring Hill Cemetery. Lorraine Huling Maynard (January 19, 1897 – November 15, 1971) was a silent film actress and writer. Early life Born in Oakesdale, Washington, Maynard was the daughter of Mr and Mrs. C. Floyd Huling, and she grew up in Bennington, Vermont. They divorced when Maynard was five, and her mother worked in Chicago, Illinois, as a nurse and receptionist for Edmund James Doering, who became her lover as well as a father figure for her. Maynard attended Chicago public schools and a convent school for the first few years of her education; her mother later placed her in a variety of boarding schools in the United States and abroad. Maynard spent several summers in Westbrook, Connecticut, with her grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Lyman Simmons, and frequently traveled abroad with her mother and Doering. Thomas Byers Huling
Thomas Byers Huling (October 19, 1804 – November 2, 1865) merchant and politician, son of Thomas and Rebecca (Berryhill) Huling, was born in Perry County, Pennsylvania, on October 19, 1804. After operating a steamboat business on the Mississippi River, he moved to Texas in 1834 and obtained a land grant on the south bank of the Angelina River in what later became Jasper County. A merchant and land speculator, Huling sold and transported provisions to Capt. James Chesser's locally raised unit during the Texas Revolution. He served as judge and postmaster after the war and owned the land on which Zavala was founded. Along with Henry Millard and Joseph Pulsifer, Thomas B. General Information Huling is northwest of Rui'an City, Zhejiang, China. The town has an area of and a population of 22,000. Most of the territory is hilly and mountainous with river valleys and plains in the middle rich in agricultural resources. The town is directly connected to Ouhai by Hufang Highway through Fangzhuang Township, and the planned Quhu Highway leads to Ouhai via Linxi Township to the east, and Rui (An) Feng (Ling) Highway runs east–west through the town.
