The Beaux-Arts de Paris is a French ''grande école'' whose primary mission is to provide high-level arts education and training. This is classical and historical School of Fine Arts in France. The art school, which is part of the Paris Sciences et Lettres University, is located on two sites: Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris, and Saint-Ouen. The Parisian institution is made up of a complex of buildings located at 14 rue Bonaparte, between the quai Malaquais and the rue Bonaparte. Daniel Sénélar
Daniel Sénélar (born 24 June 1925 in Paris; died 15 March 2001 in Paris) was a French painter. Biography Presented by Nicolas Untersteller (1900–1967) at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris on 30 October 1947. He first worked under the supervision of Nicolas Untersteller and later under Maurice Brianchon (1899–1979) in 1949. In 1951 he received the Grand Prix de Rome. He took up residence from 1952 till 1955 at the Villa Medici. under the direction of Jacques Ibert. He became professor at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lille in 1967, a post he held for thirty years. Works His extensive work includes drawings, paintings and graphics. One of his most famous works is the painting "The Horse, Companion of Man" (1951), for which he received the Prix de Rome 1951. Fernand Léger
Joseph Fernand Henri Léger (; February 4, 1881 – August 17, 1955) was a French painting, painter, sculpture, sculptor, and film director, filmmaker. In his early works he created a personal form of cubism (known as "tubism") which he gradually modified into a more Figurative art, figurative, populism, populist style. His boldly simplified treatment of modern subject matter has caused him to be regarded as a forerunner of pop art.
