Hugh Brophy
Hugh Brophy (born 2 September 1948 in Dublin) is an Irish retired footballer who played during the 1960s and 1970s. Brophy was a midfielder who played for Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians amongst others during his career in the League of Ireland. Brophy played alongside the likes of Tommy Kelly and Turlough O'Connor during his time at Bohs. He made his Rovers debut on 20 March 1966 against Drumcondra at Milltown. He signed for Crystal Palace in July 1966, but after only one league appearance as a substitute for Johnny Byrne in the last game of the 1966–67 season, left the club in 1967. He re-signed for Shamrock Rovers in November 1968, winning the FAI Cup in 1969. He played for the Republic of Ireland national football team amateur team in the qualifiers for the 1967 UEFA Amateur Cup. Dublin

Johnny Byrne (footballer)
John Joseph Byrne (13 May 1939 – 27 October 1999) was an English professional footballer who played as a striker. He was nicknamed "Budgie" due to his constant chattering. He played non-league football for Epsom Town and Guildford City Youth, before signing a professional contract with Crystal Palace in 1956. He joined West Ham United in 1962, and spent the next five years with the "Hammers". He returned to Crystal Palace in 1967, before joining Fulham the following year. He emigrated to South Africa in 1969 and spent four years with Durban City. He went on to coach in South Africa for many years, and turned out as a player for Hellenic in 1980. He won seven caps for the England under-23 team, before scoring eight goals in eleven full England internationals between 1961 and 1965. The Leinster Senior Cup is an association football cup competition organized by the Leinster Football Association. It is currently contested by LFA affiliated League of Ireland clubs, Leinster Senior League Senior Division clubs and invited teams from the various LFA affiliated junior leagues. Top Four Cup
The Top Four Cup was an association football super cup featuring the top four clubs in the League of Ireland. It was first held in 1955–56 and last played for in 1973–74. It was played at the end of the season. Shamrock Rovers were the inaugural winners and subsequently featured in seven finals. Waterford won the competition the most times, five times in total. The competition was sponsored by the ''Irish Independent'' and a result was also known as the Independent Cup. The cup was last won by Cork Celtic and is currently on display in the Evergreen Bar in Turners Cross, Cork. During the late 1960s the (Northern) Irish Football League also organised a Top Four Cup. The Football Association of Ireland Senior Challenge Cup (FAI Cup), known as the Extra.ie FAI Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a knock-out association football competition contested annually by teams from the Republic of Ireland (as well as Derry City from Northern Ireland). In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958.
