Hudsonville High School, is a public high school located in Hudsonville, Michigan. It serves grades 9-12 for the Hudsonville Public Schools. It serves all of Hudsonville and small portions of Allendale and Jenison. It also includes the majority of Jamestown Charter Township and portions of the following townships: Blendon, Georgetown, and Zeeland, as well as a small portion of Allendale Charter Township. Allendale Charter Township is a charter township of Ottawa County in the U.S. state of Michigan. At the 2020 Census, the township population was 26,583. John Vander Wal
John Henry Vander Wal (born April 29, 1966) is an American former Major League Baseball left-handed hitter who played outfield and first base for eight different teams over 14 seasons. He is now a coach for the West Michigan Whitecaps. Early life Vander Wal grew up in Hudsonville, Michigan and graduated from Hudsonville High School in Hudsonville. He was drafted in the 8th round of the 1984 Major League Baseball Draft by the Houston Astros. He did not sign with Houston, and instead attended Western Michigan University. Joel Smeenge
Joel Andrew Smeenge (born April 1, 1968) is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for the New Orleans Saints and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was drafted by the Saints in the third round of the 1990 NFL Draft. He played 11 seasons in the NFL from 1990 to 2000. He played college football at Western Michigan University. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Tyson DeVree (born November 12, 1984) is a former American football tight end. He was signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He last played college football at Colorado. He has also been a member of the Buffalo Bills, Hartford Colonials, Cleveland Browns, and Indianapolis Colts. Ray Russell Bentley (born November 25, 1960) is a former professional American football linebacker, broadcaster, and author. Biography Playing career Bentley's first three years in professional football were spent with the Michigan Panthers and Oakland Invaders of the United States Football League.
