Hudson Young (born 11 June 1998) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a er for the Canberra Raiders in the National Rugby League (NRL). Background Young was born in Maitland, New South Wales, Australia. He is of Ukrainian descent. He played his junior rugby league for the Greta Branxton Colts. Career 2019 Young made his debut in Round 3 of the 2019 NRL season against the Newcastle Knights. In round 25 against the New Zealand Warriors, Young was referred to the match review committee after it was alleged by Fox Sports that he tried to gouge the eyes of New Zealand player Adam Pompey. Young was subsequently found guilty and suspended for 8 matches. This was the second time during the 2019 NRL season in which Young was suspended for eye gouging. The 2023 State of Origin series is the 42nd annual best-of-three series between the Queensland and New South Wales rugby league teams. Before this series, Queensland had won 23 times, NSW 16 times, with two series drawn. Wests Tigers
The Wests Tigers are an Australian professional Rugby league, rugby league football team, based in the Inner West and South West Sydney. They have competed in the National Rugby League since being formed at the end of the 1999 NRL season as a joint-venture club between the Balmain Tigers and the Western Suburbs Magpies. The Wests Tigers started playing in the 2000 NRL season and they won their maiden premiership in 2005 NRL season, 2005. It is one of only two clubs (the other being the Newcastle Knights) that has never lost a Grand Final in which it has participated. The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Sydney's Northern Beaches. The team colours are maroon and white, while their namesake and logo is the sea eagle. They compete in Australia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL). The club debuted in the 1947 New South Wales Rugby Football League season and currently host the majority of their home games from Brookvale Oval in Brookvale, while training at the New South Wales Academy of Sport in Narrabeen. The 2022 NRL season is the 115th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 25th season run by the National Rugby League. Teams The lineup of teams remained unchanged for the 16th consecutive year. This became the second longest stretch of time (after 1947-1966 - 20 seasons) of a continuous line-up of teams in competition history (overtaking 1967-1981 - 15 seasons). Pre-season Pre-season matches were played between 12 February and 28 February 2022, before a 10-day lead up until the beginning of the regular season.
