Hudson Hill, also known as Riverdale Estates, is a neighborhood of Riverdale in the New York City borough of The Bronx, bordered by the Henry Hudson Parkway on the east, the Hudson River on the west, West 246th Street on the south and West 254th Street on the north. History Hudson Hill rests on a natural slope beside the Hudson River, with successive streets west of the Henry Hudson Parkway rising parallel to one-another as they continue east of the water. Early suggestions for the area's name included "Hudson Hillside Estates" and "Hillside Estates". Realtor Robert E. Anthony Campagna
Anthony (born Antonio) Campagna, Count of Castelmezzano (December 31, 1884 – May 8, 1969) was a prominent real estate developer and member of the Board of Education in New York City. Today, he is best known for the destruction of architecturally significant buildings and the subsequent development of new luxury buildings in New York City. Early life Campagna was born in Castelmezzano, Italy in 1884. His father was a builder. His brother Armino Campagna (1898–1985), who married his wife's sister Christina Paterno, also moved to New York and worked in real estate with him. Yeshiva Of Telshe Alumni
A branch of the Telshe Yeshiva, the Yeshiva of Telshe Alumni is located in the Hudson Hill, Bronx, Hudson Hill section of Riverdale, Bronx, Riverdale, a neighborhood of the Bronx in New York City. It was founded in the early 1980s by Rabbi Avraham Ausband, a grandson of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Bloch, the Telzer Rav; by Rabbi Yaakov Reisman, a son-in-law of Telzer Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Mordechai Gifter; and by a talmid (Heb: student) of Rabbi Mordechai Gifter, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Libersohn, who came from Argentina for this purpose. The Yeshiva, with an enrollment of approximately two hundred, is currently headed by Harav Ausband Shlita. Riverdale is a residential neighborhood in the northwestern portion of the New York City borough of the Bronx. Riverdale, which had a population of 47,850 as of the 2000 United States Census, contains the city's northernmost point, at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Henry Hudson Parkway
The Henry Hudson Parkway is a parkway in New York City. The southern terminus is in Manhattan at 72nd Street, where the parkway continues south as the West Side Highway. It is often erroneously referred to as the West Side Highway throughout its entire course in Manhattan. The northern terminus is at the Bronx– Westchester county boundary, where it continues north as the Saw Mill River Parkway. Wave Hill
Wave Hill is a estate in the Hudson Hill section of Riverdale in the Bronx, New York City. Wave Hill currently consists of public horticultural gardens and a cultural center, all situated on the slopes overlooking the Hudson River, with expansive views across the river to the New Jersey Palisades. The estate includes two houses and a botanical garden. The oldest part of the main house, Wave Hill House, dates back to 1843; Glyndor House dates from 1927 and contains a multi-room art gallery. Perkins Visitor Center, which was originally a garage, contains a gift shop and an information desk. During the late 19th century and early 20th century, numerous highly notable people resided in Wave Hill, either because they owned it, leased it, or stayed there as guests.
