Donna Lee Hudson (born 1946) is an American biomedical engineer known for her research on expert systems for medical diagnosis and on the application of chaos theory to heart rhythms. She is a professor emerita at the University of California, San Francisco. Education and career Hudson majored in mathematics at California State University, Fresno, graduating in 1968 and began working for Boeing, on computational problems involving wind tunnels. She returned to CSU Fresno for a master's degree in mathematics, which she earned in 1972. Henry Hudson (born 1982, Bath) is a British artist who lives and works in London. He is best known for his use of Plasticine as his artistic medium in the creation of textured ‘paintings’. Hudson's most notable exhibition to date was ''The Rise and Fall of Young Sen – The Contemporary Artist’s Progress,'' which was shown at Sotheby's SI2 Gallery, London in May 2015. The exhibition consisted of ten large scale Plasticine paintings, depicting a contemporary version of William Hogarth's '' A'' ''Rake's Progress''. Henry Hudson ( 1565 – disappeared 23 June 1611) was an English sea explorer and navigator during the early 17th century, best known for his explorations of present-day Canada and parts of the northeastern United States. In 1607 and 1608, Hudson made two attempts on behalf of English merchants to find a rumoured Northeast Passage to Cathay via a route above the Arctic Circle. In 1609, he landed in North America on behalf of the Dutch East India Company and explored the region around the modern New York metropolitan area. George Vernon Hudson
George Vernon Hudson FRSNZ (20 April 1867 – 5 April 1946) was a British-born New Zealand entomologist credited with proposing the modern daylight saving time. He was awarded the Hector Memorial Medal in 1923. Biography Born in London, Britain, on Easter Saturday, 1867 Hudson was the sixth child of Emily Jane Carnal and Charles Hudson, an artist and stained-glass window designer. By the age of 14 he had built up a collection of British insects, and had published a paper in '' The Entomologist''. In 1881 Hudson moved with his father to Nelson, New Zealand. George Hudson
George Hudson (probably 10 March 1800 – 14 December 1871) was an English railway financier and politician who, because he controlled a significant part of the railway network in the 1840s, became known as "The Railway King"—a title conferred on him by Sydney Smith in 1844. Hudson played a significant role in linking London to Edinburgh by rail, carrying out the first major merging of railway companies (the Midland Railway) and developing his home city of York into a major railway junction. He also represented Sunderland in the House of Commons. Hudson's success was built on dubious financial practices and he frequently paid shareholders out of capital rather than money the company had earned.
