Huang Chih-ta (; born 28 February 1972) is a Taiwanese politician. Early life and family Huang Chi-ta's maternal grandfather was a banker in Yilan County who was killed during the aftermath of 228 incident, as National Revolutionary Army personnel landed in Yilan. Huang was born on 28 February 1972, the 25th anniversary of the 228 incident. Huang Chi-ta earned bachelor's degree from National Chengchi University, followed by a master's degree from Tamkang University. Political career Huang was deputy director of the Democratic Progressive Party's Department of International Affairs. During Su Tseng-chang's tenure as chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party from 2012 to 2014, Huang was a deputy leader of the party's Central Committee. He then joined Su's . Lin Hsi-yao (; born 25 December 1961) is a Taiwanese politician. Early life Lin studied civil engineering at National Taiwan University, where he earned a bachelor's and degree and a master's degree in the subject in 1983 and 1990, respectively. Tsai Ing-wen (; born 31 August 1956) is a Taiwanese politician serving as president of the Republic of China (Taiwan) since 2016. A member of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Tsai is the first female president of Taiwan. William Lai Ching-te (; born 6 October 1959) is a Taiwanese politician who has been the Vice President of the Republic of China (Taiwan) since 2020. He served as a legislator in the Legislative Yuan from 1999 to 2010, and as Mayor of Tainan from 2010 to 2017, prior to taking office as premier of the Republic of China.
