Huang Biren
Huang Biren (born 7 March 1969) is a Singaporean actress best known for appearing in numerous MediaCorp Channel 8 television dramas. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1988 to 2008, but continues to film on an ad-hoc basis. Huang left Mediacorp on 30 June 2008, due to the new contract terms offered to her and she also wanted to spend more time with her family, especially her 5-month-old infant girl. Career Huang joined the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (now MediaCorp) in 1988 after completing its Professional Drama Performers' Training course. She was due to study at Hawaii Pacific University in the United States but chose to go into acting when SBC offered her a contract, much to the initial disappointment of her parents. Having been in the industry for 10 years, Huang won her first ''Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes'' award in Star Awards 1997. Gina Pareño (; born Geraldine Acthley; October 20, 1947) is a Filipina actress. Early life Pareño was born to a German American father and a Filipina mother. Career She started her career in the 1960s as an extra in several films and then later on became one of the artists of Sampaguita Pictures. Star Awards 2007 () was a television award ceremony held in Singapore. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for MediaCorp TV Channel 8. It was the first ''Star Awards'' ceremony to be broadcast in two weeks putting emphasis on two programmes; the first ceremony, broadcast on 9 December 2007, titled 红星大奖之戏剧情牵25 (lit. Ivy Lee (; born 16 July 1973) is a Singaporean former actress and host. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1993 to 2007.
