Hrudaya Geethe
''Hrudaya Geethe'' () is a 1989 Indian Kannada-language romance film directed and produced by H. R. Bhargava. The story by Phani Ramachandra was loosely based on the 1970 movie ''Pagla Kahin Ka''. The film stars Vishnuvardhan (actor), Vishnuvardhan, Bhavya and Khushbu. Plot Ashok, a mentally disturbed man, is accused of murder. According to the court's order, he is sent to a mental asylum. Aruna, his childhood friend, who is also his doctor, decides to help him. Ashok reveals that he his pretending to be mentally ill for the sake of his lover Asha. Asha, an athlete, has accidentally murdered her house owner for misbehaving with her. In order to save her reputation, Ashok has taken blame for the murder and is pretending to be mentally ill. Ashok is released from the asylum but on seeing Asha marry someone else, he becomes mad for real and is re-admitted to the asylum. Lakshman Rao Mohite (15 June 1932 – 17 January 2016), better known by his pen-name Geethapriya ( kn, ಗೀತಪ್ರಿಯ), was an Indian film director and lyricist of the Kannada film industry. He has directed 40 films and penned over 250 songs in Kannada films. In 1992–93, he was awarded the Puttanna Kanagal Award for his contribution to Kannada cinema as a director. Early life Geethapriya was born as Lakshman Rao Mohite in 1931, to Ramarao Mohite and Lakshmibai. His father worked for the cavalry regiment of Mysore State Troops called Mysore Lancers, which was stationed in Bangalore. Sihi Kahi Chandru
Chandrashekar (born 1962 23 July), known by his stage name Sihi Kahi Chandru, which literally means "sweet and bitter" Chandru, is an Indian Kannada film and television actor. Career His wife ''Sihi Kahi Geetha'' and he were the main protagonists in an old Doordarshan Kannada serial titled ''Sihi Kahi'' which was televised every Friday at the 7.00-7.30 slot, between 1986-87. Those being initial days of Doordarshan, the show had a large viewership and the serial was extremely popular with the Kannada audience. It was a situation-comedy (sitcom) serial in which Chandru and Geetha enacted the role of a husband and wife. Their friendship blossomed into love and later they walked down the matrimony aisle in real life on 9 November 1990.
