Hroar Stange
Hroar Stange (5 February 1921 – 24 June 2017) was a Norwegian physician and politician for the Conservative Party. Stange practised as a physician in Kristiansand from 1952 to his retirement in 1992. He was active in the Norwegian Medical Association and the Norwegian Medical Society as regional branch leader, chaired the board of Vest-Agder Central Hospital and chaired the corporate council of Norsk Medisinaldepot. Stange served in Kristiansand city council from 1963 to 1975. Conservative Party (Norway)
The Conservative Party or The Right ( nb, Høyre, nn, Høgre, , H; se, Olgešbellodat) is a liberal-conservative political party in Norway. It is the major party of the Norwegian centre-right, and was the leading party in government as part of the Solberg cabinet from 2013 to 2021. The Norwegian Medical Society ( no, Det norske medicinske Selskab, la, Societas Medica Norvegica) is a medical organisation in Norway. It has its roots in an informal group created in 1826, which subscribed to and shared foreign medical journals. In 1833 it was formally inaugurated as ''Lægeforeningen i Christiania'', the physician's association in Christiania. The name Norwegian Medical Society was taken in 1847. From 1826 to 1837 it published Norway's first medical journal, ''Eyr'', named after Eir. Norsk Medisinaldepot AS is a pharmaceutics and healthcare products wholesaler in Norway. It also operates the pharmacy chains Vitusapotek and the franchise chain Ditt Apotek. NMD is part of the Celesio group and has a total of 185 pharmacies in Norway. The company is based in Oslo. History NMD was created on November 1, 1957 as a government agency that functioned as pharmaceutical wholesaler throughout Norway. It took over this responsibility from five private companies. Vest-Agder (; "West Agder") was one of 18 counties (''fylker'') in Norway up until 1 January 2020, when it was merged with Aust-Agder to form Agder county.
