Hrafnhildur Hanna Þrastardóttir (born 14 May 1995) is an Icelandic handballer who plays for Icelandic top division side ÍBV and the Icelandic national team as a central back. Career Club career In 2015, Hrafnhildur was the top goal scorer in the Úrvalsdeild kvenna 159 goals. She again led the league in scoring in 2016 and 2017. National team career Hrafnhildur was first selected to the Icelandic national team in 2014. In March 2017, Hrafnhildur tore her left ACL in a game against Netherlands. Selfoss () is a town in southern Iceland on the banks of the Ölfusá river. It is the seat of the municipality of Árborg. The Icelandic Route 1 (Iceland), Route 1 runs through the town on its way between Hveragerði and Hella, Iceland, Hella. Iceland Women's National Handball Team
The Iceland women's national handball team is the national handball team of Iceland and takes part in international team handball competitions. They qualified to the 2010 European Women's Handball Championship. This was the first time they qualified to any international championship. They finished with the 15th place. Two years later, at the 2012 European Women's Handball Championship, they managed the same results. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. Anterior Cruciate Ligament
The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of a pair of cruciate ligaments (the other being the posterior cruciate ligament) in the human knee. The two ligaments are also called "cruciform" ligaments, as they are arranged in a crossed formation. In the quadruped stifle joint (analogous to the knee), based on its anatomical position, it is also referred to as the cranial cruciate ligament. The term cruciate translates to cross.
