Howlin' Maggie
Howlin' Maggie was a four-piece band founded by (and fronted by) Harold "Happy" Chichester in Columbus, Ohio, in 1994. Chichester was previously the bassist for Royal Crescent Mob, and is also a founding member of The Twilight Singers with Greg Dulli of The Afghan Whigs. The band's debut album, ''Honeysuckle Strange'', was released on Columbia Records in 1996 to critical praise. Chichester commands most of the album credits, racking up vocals, keyboards, guitars, and producer duties. ''Honeysuckle Strange'' is an eleven song album that draws from a variety of musical seasonings, and deals with a myriad of social issues, such as substance abuse, relationships, and the seedy underbelly of the music industry. Watershed (American Band)
Watershed is an American rock band based in Columbus, Ohio, consisting of Colin Gawel (guitar, vocals), Joe Oestreich (bass, vocals), Rick Kinsinger (piano, guitar), Herb Schupp (drums). Their songs have appeared in several television shows, including ''Gene Simmons Family Jewels'', ''Laguna Beach'', and ''The Dudesons''. Several members of Watershed formed The Dead Schembechlers, a punk band based on the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry. Jerome Dillon is a professional musician, best known for his tenure as drummer with industrial rock group Nine Inch Nails from 1999–2005. After his departure, his own project, Nearly, released its debut album ''reminder'' in December 2005, along with a cd maxi-single for the song "Straight to Nowhere". "All is Lost", a song from ''reminder'' that Dillon co-wrote with 12 Rounds singer, Claudia Sarne, was featured in the 2008 film, Diary of a Nymphomaniac. In addition, an authorized limited release live bootleg EP/DVD entitled ''reminder Live 2006'', was released in August 2006. Dillon has worked as a composer for feature films since 2001. WWLG (102.5 FM) is a commercial regional Mexican radio station licensed to Baltimore, Ohio. The Toll
The Toll was a rock band from Columbus, Ohio active from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s. It consisted of vocalist Brad Circone, guitarist Rick Silk, bassist Greg Bartram, and Brett Mayo on drums. Unusually, many of their songs incorporated spoken narratives. They had earned a reputation for their live performances and were signed to Geffen on the strength of a single show, although they had previously recorded a demo for Chrysalis. The Toll's first album was titled ''The Price of Progression,'' and "Jonathan Toledo," which included one of the band's trademark narratives and clocked in at more than ten minutes, was the first single. Earwig (band)
Earwig is an indie rock band from Columbus, Ohio. They have released music on micro-indie LFM Records and Anyway Records. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Lizard McGee, bassist and vocalist Costa Hondroulis, vocalist, keyboardist James McGee-Moore and drummers Jeremy Skeen and George Hondrouls. The Afghan Whigs
The Afghan Whigs are an American rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio. They were active from 1986 to 2001 and have since reformed as a band. The group – with core members Greg Dulli (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick McCollum (lead guitar), and John Curley (bass) – rose up around the grunge movement, evolving from a garage band in the vein of the Replacements to incorporate more R&B and soul influences into their sound and image.
