Howling
Howling is a vocal form of animal communication seen in most canines, particularly wolves, coyotes, foxes, and dogs, as well as cats and some species of monkeys. Howls are generally lengthy sustained sounds, loud and audible over long distances, often with some variation in pitch over the length of the sound. Howling is generally used by animals that engage in this behavior to signal their positions to one another, to call the pack to assemble, or to note their territory. The behavior is occasionally copied by humans, and has been noted to have varying degrees of significance in human culture. "Howl" is the debut single by American rock band Beware of Darkness. The song first appeared on the band's 2012 EP ''Howl'' and was featured on their debut studio ''Orthodox'' where it was an instant download with the pre-order of the album. The music video premiered on September 14, 2012 on Fuse. Howl has been featured in the video game soundtracks of Saints Row IV, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, EA Sports UFC and Gran Turismo. Howl is a rock band from Oslo, Norway. The band's name is taken from the Allen Ginsberg poem with the same name. The beginning The band was formed in 2002 when childhood friends Lars Bendixby, Espen Blystad, Alex Engebretsen and Simen Lund started to play together while attending to the same school outside of Oslo. Through friends and acquaintances, the band came in touch with Knut Frøysnes and Kristian Syvertsen in 2004, and the band's original (and current) line-up was completed. ''Get Tragic'' is the fifth studio album by British band Blood Red Shoes. It was released in January 2019 under Jazz Life Records. Background and composition After the release of the band's fourth self-titled album, the members were considering a hiatus. During this period, singer Laura-Mary Carter moved to the US and collaborated with Natalie Chahal and together with drummer Jorma Vik they founded a one-off band Shit Girlfriend. They released one single, "Mummy's Boy / I Don't Want To Die", on 22 April 2017. During her stay in the US, Carter suffered a broken arm in a motorcycle accident. Because of the injury, her songwriting became more vocal-oriented and she started using keyboard instruments more often. ''Lungs'' is the debut studio album by English indie rock band Florence and the Machine, released on 3 July 2009 by Island Records.
