Howard R. Paul (born November 15, 1960, in Petersburg, Virginia) is president and CEO of Benedetto Guitars, a company he founded with American luthier Robert Benedetto in June 2006 after Benedetto's departure from a seven-year licensing agreement with Fender. Benedetto Guitars was begun in 1968 and is a boutique American archtop guitar manufacturer which builds hand-carved instruments. Education and military service Paul joined Benedetto after a ten-year career as a U.S. Army logistics officer and ten years as an executive with Chatham Steel. He holds a degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and was commissioned as a lieutenant after completing Infantry Officer Candidate School in January 1987 and the U.S. Army Transportation School. Petersburg is an independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 33,458. The Bureau of Economic Analysis combines Petersburg (along with the city of Colonial Heights) with Dinwiddie County for statistical purposes. The city is south of the commonwealth (state) capital city of Richmond. It is located at the fall line (the head of navigation of rivers on the U.S. East Coast) of the Appomattox River (a tributary of the longer larger James River which flows east to meet the southern mouth of the Chesapeake Bay at the Hampton Roads harbor and the Atlantic Ocean). Jimmy Bruno (born July 22, 1953) is an American jazz guitarist from Philadelphia. Biography Born in Philadelphia, Bruno started playing guitar at the age of 7. He began his professional career at the age of 19, touring with Buddy Rich. He played for many years in Los Angeles before returning to Philadelphia. He counts as influences Johnny Smith, Hank Garland, Joe Pass, Tal Farlow, Wes Montgomery, Howard Roberts, Jim Hall, and Pat Martino. In March 2011, he opened Jimmy Bruno's Guitar Workshop, a web site that allows students to learn from him through video lessons. Savannah Jazz Festival
The Savannah Jazz Festival is an annual celebration of jazz music located in Savannah, Georgia, United States. It takes place for eight days during the last full week in September each year. Events and performances take place in various venues throughout the city, culminating in three days at the historic Forsyth Park. Admission to the event is free.
