''How to Handle Women'' is a 1928 American silent comedy film directed by William James Craft and starring Glenn Tryon. Bela Lugosi had an early, uncredited role, and ''Krazy Kat'' cartoonist George Herriman played himself. It was produced and distributed by Universal Pictures. The film had several working titles: ''Fresh Every Hour'', ''The Prince of Peanuts'', ''Meet the Prince'', and ''Three Days''. The Library of Congress has a "digital file containing 300 ft. 16mm fragment from one reel (r1) loaned by collector". William James Craft
William James Craft (1886 – 30 June 1931) was a Canadian film director and screenwriter. He directed more than 60 films between 1910 and 1931. Violet La Plante (born Violet LaPlant; January 17, 1908 – June 1, 1984), also known as Violet Avon, was an American silent film actress. Biography Violet La Plante, born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, was the younger sister of future Hollywood star Laura La Plante, and started acting in the early 1920s, adapting her surname to "La Plante", like her sister. Her first film was in 1924, starring opposite Buddy Roosevelt, in ''Battling Buddy''. She starred in four films in 1924. The following year, she made just one film, but was included in the WAMPAS Baby Stars (at the time, baby star was common slang for starlet). Her sister Laura was a 1923 WAMPAS Baby Stars. Despite the title as a WAMPAS Baby Star, she never achieved the same level of success as her sister. In 1926 and 1927, she starred in only one film for each year, then in 1928 she had only two films. Leo White (November 10, 1882 – September 20, 1948), Leo Weiss, was a German-born British-American film and stage actor who appeared as a character actor in many Charlie Chaplin films. Biography Born in Germany, White grew up in England where he began his stage career. He was brought to the United States under the aegis of Daniel Frohman, a Broadway producer. He started his film career in 1911 and in 1913 moved to the Essanay Studios. In 1915, he began appearing in Chaplin's comedies and continued through Chaplin's Mutual Film comedies. His last appearance in a Chaplin film was a small role in ''The Great Dictator'', released in 1940. White also acted in and directed '' Triple Trouble'' (1918), Essanay's last Chaplin release.
