''How It Works'' was the fourth studio album from Australian punk-rock group Bodyjar. The album peaked number 19 on the ARIA Charts. The track "Not the Same" was featured in the 2001 skateboarding video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. The album was released in the US through Nitro Records to coincide with the band's appearance on the 2001 Warped Tour. Album
An album is a collection of audio recordings issued on compact disc (CD), Phonograph record, vinyl, audio tape, or another medium such as Digital distribution#Music, digital distribution. Bodyjar
Bodyjar are an Australian pop punk band which formed in 1990. They began performing under the name Bodyjar in 1994; their previous names included Damnation (1990–91) and Helium (1992–93). The latter group released an album, ''You Can't Hold Me Down'', in October 1992. As Bodyjar their original line-up were Cameron Baines on vocals and guitar; Ben Petterson on vocals and guitar; Grant Relf on vocals and bass guitar; and Charles Zerafa on drums. In 1995 Ross Hetherington (ex-Bastard Squad, Swamp Rats) replaced Zerafa on drums. In 1999 Tom Read replaced Petterson on guitar and in 2004 Hetherington made way for Shane Wakker on drums. Bodyjar released six studio albums, '' Take a Look Inside'' (1994), ''Rimshot!'' Pop Punk
Pop punk (or punk pop) is a rock music genre that combines elements of punk rock with power pop or pop. It is defined for its emphasis on classic pop songcraft, as well as adolescent and anti-suburbia themes, and is distinguished from other punk-variant genres by drawing more heavily from 1960s bands such as the Beatles, the Kinks, and the Beach Boys. EMI Records (formerly EMI Records Ltd.) is a multinational record label owned by Universal Music Group. It originally founded as a British flagship label by the music company of the same name in 1972, and launched in January 1973 as the successor to its Columbia and Parlophone record labels. Nitro Records was an American independent record label, founded in 1994 and operated by The Offspring's Dexter Holland and Greg K. Nitro is famous for being an incubator for punk rock artists who have subsequently become successful, most notably AFI. Kalju Tonuma
Kalju Tonuma is an Australian music producer, songwriter, drummer and performer of Estonian descent. He is one half of the production team MEJU (pronounced "me-you") which he founded with Megan Bernard in 2014. He also manages record label Of One Kind and live-stream venue The B Side. Tonuma also performs as the drummer for Anactoria, Megan Bernard and The Indulgence. He began his career in 1989 at Platinum Studios in South Yarra, Australia. He has been nominated for a number of Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Music Awards. ''Plastic Skies'' is the fifth studio album by Australian punk rock band, Bodyjar. Note: user may have to click on tabs, e.g. "Discography", to access further information. It was released on EMI on 10 June 2002, peaking at No. 37 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Three singles appeared from the album, "Is It a Lie" (May 2002), "One in a Million" (August) and "Too Drunk to Drive" (January 2003). In Australia an extended version of the album was issued with a bonus 3-inch CD of live material from the band's Warped Tour. The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association. Warped Tour
The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the tour’s main sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Vans toured Australia in 1998-2002 and again in 2013. Although Vans continued as main sponsor and lent its name to the festival, other sponsors also participated, with stages or other aspects of the festival being named after them on occasion. Warped Tour was conceived by Kevin Lyman as an electric alternative rock festival, but later began focusing on punk rock music.
