Hovey Township is a township which is located in far northern Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was seventy-four at the time of the 2020 census, a decrease from the figure of 97 tabulated in 2010. Geography Hovey Township occupies a narrow strip of land between the Allegheny River to the east and the Butler County border to the west, ending where the river intersects the county line. Pennsylvania Route 268 runs the length of the township along the Allegheny River, leading north to Emlenton and south beyond Parker to West Kittanning. Pennsylvania Route 58 crosses the township east–west, leading east across the river to Foxburg and Sligo and west via Eau Claire to Grove City. Camp Hovey
Camp Hovey is a United States Army military base in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It was named after Master Sergeant Howard Hovey who was killed in action at Pork Chop Hill during the Korean War. The camp is adjacent to the larger Camp Casey connected by a road known as "Hovey Cut". The nearest city to Camp Hovey is Dongducheon (also spelled Tongduch'on), which is roughly from the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). There is a south gate into Camp Hovey from Gwangam-dong village. Fort Hovey (Fort Curtis)
''Fort Hovey'' was a small Civil War era earth-and-wood fort built on a hill overlooking the junction of the road running south out of Ironton, Missouri and the road running east to Fredericktown, Missouri. Fort Hovey was intended to help protect the Arcadia Valley and the iron mines located on Pilot Knob. The fort was located on ''Fort Hill'' near the town of Arcadia, Missouri on the (then) property of the Fort Hill Methodist Episcopal Church, South and the present day Arcadia Valley United Presbyterian Church. This fortification was named ''Fort Hovey'' in honor of the commander of the 33rd Illinois Volunteer Infantry Regiment (Union), Colonel Charles E. Hovey. The 33rd. Illinois was stationed there during the Autumn and Winter of 1861-62, at which time they built the fort. After the Union victory led by Brig. Gen. Samuel R.
