House Of Yes (Brooklyn)
House of Yes is a creative collective and nightclub in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York City. The House of Yes nightclub was opened by artists Kae Burke and Anya Sapozhnikova, and partners Justin Ahiyon and Ilan Telmont in 2015. History House of Yes was created in 2007 by Kae Burke and Anya Sapozhnikova, two of the producers behind Lady Circus. From July 2008 to August 2013, Anya Sapozhnikova and Kae Burke ran a circus theatre and creative event space in East Williamsburg Brooklyn called the House of Yes, hosting aerial classes, creative events and circus theatre. The first House of Yes came to existence in April 2007 in a second-floor loft located at 19-49 Troutman Street. A fire took place on April 22, 2008 and forced a relocation. Studio 54
Studio 54 is a Broadway theater and a former disco nightclub at 254 West 54th Street in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Operated by the Roundabout Theatre Company, Studio 54 has 1,006 seats on two levels. The theater was designed by Eugene De Rosa for producer Fortune Gallo and opened in 1927 as the Gallo Opera House. The current Broadway theater is named after a nightclub on the same site, founded by Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager, which operated within the theater's space in the late 1970s and the 1980s. Plans for the Gallo Opera House announced in 1926, and it opened on November 8, 1927, as a legitimate theater and opera house for the San Carlo Grand Opera Company. Ian Schrager
Ian Schrager (born July 19, 1946) is an American entrepreneur, hotelier and real estate developer, credited for co-creating the "boutique hotel" category of accommodation. Originally, he gained fame as co-owner and co-founder of Studio 54. Early life and education Schrager grew up in a Jewish family in New York City. His father Louis owned a factory in Long Branch, New Jersey, which manufactured women's coats and died when Schrager was 19. His mother, Blanche, died when he was 23. In 1968, he graduated from Syracuse University with a BA and then earned a JD from St. John's University School of Law in 1971. While at Syracuse, he was a member and eventual president of the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity.
