''This is an article about the suburb near the town of Štip. Not to be confused with the Novo Selo (Štip village), village with the eponymous name in the southern part of the Štip Municipality.'' Novo Selo () is a suburb adjacent to the List of cities in North Macedonia, town of Štip. Geography and location Novo Selo is located in the greater urban area of Štip and colloquially it is considered to be a suburb of the town. The access to Novo Selo is along the river Otinja, which in the village flows into Bregalnica. The settlement is located on both sides of Bregalnica and most of it is on the left side. World War II in Yugoslav Macedonia started with the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia in April 1941. Under the pressure of the Yugoslav Partisan movement, part of the Regional Committee of the Communists in Macedonia, Macedonian communists began in October 1941 a political and military campaign to resist the occupation of Vardar Macedonia. Officially, the area was called then Vardar Banovina, because the very name ''Macedonia'' was prohibited in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. It was occupied mostly by Bulgarian, but also by German, Italian, and Albanian forces. Dormition Of The Theotokos Church, Novo Selo, Štip
The Dormition of the Theotokos Church is a Macedonian Orthodox church in the neighbourhood of Novo Selo, Štip. The church is the seat of the Novo Selo Parish. The church is registered as a Cultural Heritage of North Macedonia. History The church began construction in 1836 and was completed in 1850. It was built by the builder Andreja Damjanov with his group of brothers and is a large three-nave basilica with spacious galleries on the first floor. Novo Selo School
The Novo Selo School is the building of the former school in Novo Selo, Štip, North Macedonia. The same building is now the seat to the Rectorate of the Goce Delčev University. The building is registered as a Cultural Heritage of Macedonia. It is located in the yard of the Dormition of the Theotokos Church. History As a school building The foundations of the building were laid in the 1870s. The first school year was in 1882. The revolutionary Goce Delčev taught at the school for two years in the period 1894–1896. Dame Gruev, Petar Pop Arsov, Todor Lazarov, Miše Razvigorov, Dimitar Mirasčiev also taught here.
