Houjin River
The Houjin River () is a river in Nanzih District, Renwu District and Ciaotou District of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Geology The river originates from Mount Guanyin in Dashe District. Once it reaches Bagualiao, the river passes through industrial areas. Once it passes the factories, the river comes to the Shihlong Creek and Yuanjhonggang Creek water intake stations, which supply irrigation water for 1,390 hectares of farmland in Ciaotou and Yanchao District. After that, it passes through the fish-farming area in Ziguan District and finally into the sea of Taiwan Strait at the Yuanjhonggang Wetlands. The river has been subjected to frequent environmental problems due to its location along major industrial areas in the region, such as the Dashe, Renwu and Jhuzaimen industrial parks. The Taiwan Strait is a -wide strait separating the island of Taiwan and continental Asia. The strait is part of the South China Sea and connects to the East China Sea to the north. Nanzih District
Nanzih District, United States National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (also spelled Nanzi; ) is a district located in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It was the northernmost district of Kaohsiung City until Kaohsiung County was merged into the municipality in 2010. Nanzih offers convenient access to transportation, including a train and bus station and an interchange on the Sun Yat-sen Freeway. Moreover, it also contains the Nanzih Industrial Zone. Renwu District
Renwu District or Jenwu District () is a district of Kaohsiung City in southern Taiwan. History After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, Renwu was organized as a rural township of Kaohsiung County. On 25 December 2010, Kaohsiung County was merged with Kaohsiung City and Renwu was upgraded to a district of the city. Geography It has 94,313 inhabitants as of June 2022 and an area of 36.0808 km2.
