Hou Chi-jan
Hou Chi-jan () is a Taiwanese director and writer. His works are often related to historical memories. Education Hou studied print and film at Shih Hsin School of Journalism (now Shih Hsin University). He graduated from National Chengchi University with degrees in radio and television. Career In 2003, Hou's first short film ''Stardust 15749001'' received first prize at Taipei Film Festival. In 2004, he collaborated with Hou Hsiao-hsien’s Sanshi Multimedia Company to film the Taipei Discovery Museum’s “Environmental Theater”: ''City Life'' and ''City Imagination''. Combining story, documentary, and computer animation, it is the first multimedia, surround, theater movie in Taiwan. In 2005, ''My 747'', a short film about his scrapped motorcycle, was selected by 22 international film festivals such as Busan International Film Festival. Shih Hsin University (SHU; ) is a private university known for its mass communication departments in Taiwan, founded in Muzha, Taipei in 1956. SHU ranked 22nd overall among top 30 liberal arts Universities in Taiwan in 2020 and secured the top 20 spot in 2021. SHU featured in the special category universities in 2022. The Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF, ar, مهرجان دبي السينمائي الدولي) is the leading film festival in the Arab region. The 12th edition of DIFF took place from December 9 – 16, 2015. Grace Gua Ah-leh (born 2 June 1944) is a Taiwanese actress and singer. Gua has portrayed over 200 roles in film and television since 1965. She has won the Golden Horse Awards 4 times and the Golden Bell Awards twice. Life and career Also known as Kuei Ya-lei and Grace Gua, Gua Ah Leh was born in China in 1944. She studied acting at the National Taiwan University of Arts. In 1965, she made her professional movie debut in '' The Rain of Sorrow'', and received a Golden Horse Award for Best Leading Actress. That award made her the youngest Leading Actress winner in the Golden Horse history. Next year, she was in the movie ''Home, Sweet Home''. Her performance in that movie won the Best Leading Actress in the Asia Pacific Film Festival (Indonesia), and another Best Leading Actress Golden Horse award.
