Hot 30 Countdown
The ''Hot30 Countdown'' was an Australian radio show hosted by Mike Christian (MC) and Mel Greig. It was broadcast on the Today Network from the studios of 2Day FM in Sydney, New South Wales to every state and the Australian Capital Territory following ''The Dirt''. It was cancelled on 10 December 2012, following the death of Jacintha Saldanha, and was replaced by '' The Bump''. History Beginning in 1996, the show was first hosted by Ugly Phil and Jackie O under the name ''Ugly Phil's Hot 30''. Brisbane-based announcer, Kyle Sandilands, was then moved in to host with Jackie O until the end of 2003. Labrat and Alexis took over the ''Hot30 Countdown'' from 2004 after Sandilands and Jackie O moved to the drive-time slot. A previously unknown announcer "Higgo" stepped in after Labrat took the morning shift on 2Day FM. ''Hit 30'' was an Australian radio show hosted by Angus O'Loughlin and Emma Freedman. It was broadcast across the Hit Network from 8-10pm weeknights. The show was a national music countdown which features the hottest tunes around with a mix of pop culture and big-name celebrity guests. The countdown was fully interactive from every corner of the country. History The show commenced as ''The Bump'' on 28 January 2013 replacing the ''Hot 30 Countdown'' from 7pm-10pm with Angus O'Loughlin as host. In October 2014 Southern Cross Austereo and Shazam formed a partnership and as a result ''The Bump'' was relaunched as ''Shazam Top 20'' on Monday 20 October. On 6 December 2009 Page moved to Sydney's 2Day FM, following the top rated Kyle and Jackie O Show. Page has filled in for the duo. Craig Low (born 8 May 1985) is an Australian writer, producer, director & comedian. He is known publicly as "Lowie”. Early life Low was on born on 8 May 1985 in Helensvale, Queensland. His family grew up in the small community of Helensvale, where he attended Helensvale State Primary School and Helensvale State High School.
