Hortonville High School is a high school located in Hortonville, Wisconsin. The only high school in the Hortonville Area School District, it serves students in grades 9 to 12 from the communities of Hortonville and Greenville, and portions of Center, Dale, Ellington, Grand Chute, Hortonia, and Liberty. Campus Hortonville High School is located on a 37.5-acre campus bounded by Warner Street, Olk Street, Nash Street, and Towne Drive on the east side of the Village of Hortonville. In addition to academic areas, the building includes the school district administration offices, an 800-seat performing arts center, a field house and auxiliary gymnasium, a fitness center open to district residents, a branch of Wolf River Community Bank and a newly constructed cafeteria and commons area. Hortonville, Wisconsin
Hortonville is a village in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,711 at the 2010 census. Hortonville is located in the Fox Cities region and the Appleton-Oshkosh-Neenah, WI CSA, the third largest metropolitan area in Wisconsin. History In 1848, a man by the name of Alonzo Horton purchased 1,500 acres from the governor of Wisconsin, now known as the Town of Hortonia and the Village of Hortonville, for only 70 cents per acre. The first thing Horton did was build a cabin; by damming the Black Otter Creek, which created the Black Otter Lake. After laying out a plat for the community by buying land and platting it off in 1849, Horton was swayed westward by the California Gold Rush. He later developed the city of San Diego, California. East Central Conference
The East Central Conference is a high school athletic conference of teams in the East Central Wisconsin area. The ECC was founded in 1970 and originally disbanded in 2007. The conference was revived for the 2015-2016 school year, the result of a realignment within the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. Kaukauna High School is a public high school in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, the only high school in the Kaukauna Area School District. As of the 2016–2017 school year, the school had 1,181 students in grades 9 through 12. Freedom is a town in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 6,200 at the 2020 census. The unincorporated communities of Freedom and Murphy Corner are located in the town and the unincorporated community of Five Corners is located partially within the town. History The first non-native settler in the Town of Freedom was James Andrew Jackson, an African-American who arrived in 1830. Menasha () is a city in Calumet and Winnebago counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 18,268 at the 2020 census. Neenah High School is a public high school located in Neenah, Wisconsin. It is the only traditional high school of the Neenah Joint School District. As of fall 2008, approximately 2250 students were enrolled in grades 9 through 12, making it one of the largest schools in the state. The school colors are red and white and the mascot is a rocket.
