Hortonville Area School District
The Hortonville Area School District (HASD) is a school district in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It serves the communities of Hortonville and Greenville, and parts of Center, Dale, Ellington, Grand Chute, Hortonia, and Liberty. As of 2012, the district enrollment was 3,555. The district maintains six school buildings on three campuses. Total district population was 18,952 at the 2010 Census. 2010 United States Census
The United States census of 2010 was the twenty-third United States national census. National Census Day, the reference day used for the census, was April 1, 2010. The census was taken via mail-in citizen self-reporting, with enumerators serving to spot-check randomly selected neighborhoods and communities. As part of a drive to increase the count's accuracy, 635,000 temporary enumerators were hired. The population of the United States was counted as 308,745,538, a 9.7% increase from the 2000 census. This was the first census in which all states recorded a population of over half a million people as well as the first in which all 100 largest cities recorded populations of over 200,000. A warren is a network of wild rodent or lagomorph, typically rabbit burrows. Domestic warrens are artificial, enclosed establishment of animal husbandry dedicated to the raising of rabbits for meat and fur. The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) is the highest court in the federal judiciary of the United States. It has ultimate appellate jurisdiction over all U.S. federal court cases, and over state court cases that involve a point of federal law. Wisconsin Supreme Court
The Wisconsin Supreme Court is the highest appellate court in Wisconsin. The Supreme Court has jurisdiction over original actions, appeals from lower courts, and regulation or administration of the practice of law in Wisconsin. Hortonville High School is a high school located in Hortonville, Wisconsin. The only high school in the Hortonville Area School District, it serves students in grades 9 to 12 from the communities of Hortonville and Greenville, and portions of Center, Dale, Ellington, Grand Chute, Hortonia, and Liberty. Campus Hortonville High School is located on a 37.5-acre campus bounded by Warner Street, Olk Street, Nash Street, and Towne Drive on the east side of the Village of Hortonville. Hortonville, Wisconsin
Hortonville is a village in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,711 at the 2010 census. Hortonville is located in the Fox Cities region and the Appleton-Oshkosh-Neenah, WI CSA, the third largest metropolitan area in Wisconsin. History In 1848, a man by the name of Alonzo Horton purchased 1,500 acres from the governor of Wisconsin, now known as the Town of Hortonia and the Village of Hortonville, for only 70 cents per acre. The first thing Horton did was build a cabin; by damming the Black Otter Creek, which created the Black Otter Lake. After laying out a plat for the community by buying land and platting it off in 1849, Horton was swayed westward by the California Gold Rush. He later developed the city of San Diego, California.
