Horsham YMCA is a football club based in Horsham, West Sussex, England. They are currently members of the and play at Gorings Mead. History The club was established in 1898. They played in Horsham & District League before joining the Crawley and District Football League. They subsequently moved up to the Mid-Sussex League, where they played until joining Division Two of the Sussex County League in 1959. The club won the Division Two Cup in 1959–60 and 1961–62 before winning the Division Two title in 1965–66,Honours Horsham YMCA F.C. earning promotion to Division One. The Football Association Challenge Vase, usually referred to as the FA Vase, is an annual football competition for teams playing in Steps 5 and 6 of the English National League System (or equivalently, tier 9 or 10 of the overall English football league system). For the 2017–18 season 619 entrants were accepted, with two qualifying rounds preceding the six proper rounds, semi-finals (played over two legs) and final to be played at Wembley Stadium. The Goldstone Ground (or The Goldstone) was a football stadium in Hove, East Sussex that was the home ground of Brighton & Hove Albion between 1902 and 1997. History The Goldstone Ground stood on Old Shoreham Road, Hove, opposite Hove Park in a partly residential area. The area was previously part of Goldstone Farm and was first used for a football match by Hove F.C. on 7 September 1901. Albion played there for the first time on 22 February 1902, and it became the club's permanent home the next season. The main West Stand was largely built in 1958 and consisted of seating and terraces. The South Stand was originally built in 1949 and served family spectators.
