Horizonte Futebol Clube, commonly known as Horizonte, is a Brazilian football men's and women's team based in Horizonte, Ceará state. The men's team competed in the Série C and in the Copa do Brasil once, while the women's team competed in the Copa do Brasil de Futebol Feminino once. History Foundation The club was founded on March 27, 2004. Men's team Horizonte won the Campeonato Cearense Second Division in 2007. They competed in the Série C in 2008, when they were eliminated in the First Stage of the competition. Horizonte will compete in the Copa do Brasil in 2011. Women's team The club competed in the Copa do Brasil de Futebol Feminino in 2007, when they were eliminated in the First Stage by Tiradentes. 2011 Copa Do Brasil
The 2011 Copa do Brasil (officially known as the 2011 Copa Kia do Brasil for sponsorship reasons) was the 23rd edition of the Copa do Brasil, Brazil's national football cup tournament. It began on February 16 and ended on June 8. This edition's champion was Vasco da Gama, with Coritiba ending as runners-up. Format The competition is a single elimination knockout tournament featuring two-legged ties. In the first two rounds, if the away team wins the first match by 2 or more goals, the winner advances to the next round and the second leg will not be played. The away goals rule will be used. Sociedade Esportiva Tiradentes, commonly known as Tiradentes, are a Brazilian football team from Teresina. They won the Campeonato Piauiense five times and competed in the Série A five times. 2007 Copa Do Brasil De Futebol Feminino
The 2007 Copa do Brasil de Futebol Feminino was the first staging of the competition and was played from October 30 to December 9, 2007. 32 clubs of all regions of Brazil participated of the cup, which was organized by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). The champion was Mato Grosso do Sul/Saad. Competition format 32 clubs, selected by their respective state federations, participated of the Copa do Brasil de Futebol Feminino 2007. 2008 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
In 2008, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, the third division of the Brazilian League, was contested by 64 clubs, four of which qualified to the Série B. For the second time in history, Atlético Goianiense were crowned Série C champions. Following them, former Série A champions Guarani were also promoted, along with Campinense and Duque de Caxias. The new, revamped 20-club round robin Série C in 2009, will be contested by the clubs which finished from 5th to 20th this season, plus the four relegated from Série B 2008. The Campeonato Cearense is the football league of the state of Ceará, Brazil. Format The Campeonato Cearense has three divisions with the following division and format (as in any other Brazilian soccer championship, the format can change every year): First Division The ten clubs play two legs. In each leg there are three stages: *First stage: All teams play each other one time. *Second stage: Two-legged knockout with the top 4 teams of the first stage (1st x 4th and 2nd x 3rd). *Third stage: Two-legged knockout with the second stage winners.
