Hope Trautwein
Hope Trautwein (born August 26, 1999) is a former American college softball pitcher and current graduate assistant coach for the Oklahoma Sooners. She previously played softball for North Texas, where she pitched the first perfect game in NCAA Division I history in which every out was a strikeout. High school career Trautwein attended Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Texas. As a senior, she led Hendrickson to a 27–3 record and a trip to the regional quarterfinals of the 2017 6A State Championship. She was subsequently named District 13-6A Pitcher of the Year in 2017. College career Trautwein began her collegiate career at North Texas in 2018. She made her collegiate debut on February 9, 2018, where she recorded five strikeouts in innings allowing two runs in the win. Pflugerville ( ) is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States, with a small portion in Williamson County. The population was 65,191 at the 2020 census. Sam Houston State Bearkats Softball
The Sam Houston Bearkats softball team represents Sam Houston State University in NCAA Division I college softball. The team participates in Conference USA. The Bearkats are currently led by head coach Garrett Valis. The team plays its home games at the Bearkat Softball Complex located on the university's campus. History Early history (1980–1990) Sam Houston softball first began in 1980. The team was immediately successful as it saw a 19-5 record in its very first season. 2023 Oklahoma Sooners Softball Team
The 2023 Oklahoma Sooners softball team was an American college softball team that represented the University of Oklahoma during the 2023 NCAA Division I softball season. The Sooners were led by Patty Gasso in her twenty-ninth season, and played their home games at OU Softball Complex. They competed in the Big 12 Conference, where they finished with a 61–1 record, including 18–0 in conference play. The Sooners only loss on the season was during an early season tournament in Waco, Texas to the Baylor Bears softball, Baylor Bears, 3–4. The Sooners won the 2023 Big 12 Conference softball tournament, 2023 Big 12 Tournament, and qualified for the 2023 NCAA Division I softball tournament. The UCF Knights softball program represents the University of Central Florida in the sport of softball. The Knights compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and the American Athletic Conference (The American). Jordyn Bahl (born July 24, 2002) is an American college softball pitcher for Nebraska. As a freshman at Oklahoma in 2022, she was named NFCA National Freshman of the Year. High school career Bahl attended Papillion-La Vista Senior High School in Papillion, Nebraska. She led the Monarchs to three consecutive Class A state titles and was awarded All-State honors all four years. During her junior year in 2020, she posted a 27–0 record with a 0.15 ERA, surrendering just 27 hits and 24 walks in 139 innings pitched, while striking out 299 batters. She also batted .581 with 59 RBI, tying the Class A single-season record with 22 home runs. Following an outstanding season, she was named the Nebraska Softball Player of the Year. The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos are the intercollegiate athletic teams who represent the University of California, Santa Barbara. The 2022 Oklahoma Sooners softball team was an American college softball team that represented the University of Oklahoma during the 2022 NCAA Division I softball season.
