Jessica "Jesca" Ada Hoop (born April 21, 1975) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, who writes and performs in diverse musical styles. She has released six studio albums of her own, as well as live, acoustic and dual albums with others. Biography Early life Hoop was born in Santa Rosa, California, to traditional Mormon parents Janette and Jack Dennis Hoop. She grew up singing hymns and folk tunes with her family in four-part harmony. At age 14, her parents separated, and two years later she broke away from her Mormon religion. Hoop described losing her faith as, "Now I feel free of it: I have faith in people". Hoop moved off the grid into the rural and wilderness areas of Northern California and Wyoming where she, "lived under a tree for a summer, in yurts, in cob dwellings, and in a chicken shack that I converted". Josef Hoop
Franz Josef Hoop (14 December 1895 – 19 October 1959) was a political figure from Liechtenstein who served as Prime Minister of Liechtenstein from 1928 to 1945. Early life Hoop attended high school in Feldkirch, Austria, and for a short time afterwards attended school in Zürich, Switzerland. After finishing his school, Hoop took up post-secondary education at the University of Innsbruck, where he devoted himself to the study of Oriental languages. Hoop graduated in 1920, with a doctorate in philosophy. Hoop served as the Attaché and Chargé d'affaires at the Liechtenstein legation in Vienna from 1920 until 1923, when it was closed. From 1924 to 1928 he worked for the Swiss customs administration in Geneva and St. Gallen. Prime Minister of Liechtenstein Hoop was the third Prime Minister of Liechtenstein, from 4 August 1928 to 3 September 1945. Ronald Hoop (born April 4, 1967 in Nieuw-Nickerie, Suriname) is a former Dutch-Surinamese football player. Career After starting his career with amateur side BVC in De Bilt, Utrecht, Hoop spent his career playing with several clubs throughout Europe, including a one-year spell at then Serie B side Palermo, becoming the first foreigner being signed by the ''rosanero'' in over 20 years, but failing to impress with the Sicilian side who ultimately dropped to Serie C1 that season. He then spent his later years playing with clubs in Germany and Switzerland ). Wyn Hoop
Wyn Hoop (born 29 May 1936) is a German singer, birth name Winfried Lüssenhop, best known for his participation in the 1960 Eurovision Song Contest. Born in Hannover, in the early 1950s, Hoop formed a jazz band called the Capitellos, who toured and worked on radio before disbanding in 1958. Hoop started to make solo recordings, at first under the name Fred Lyssen, before settling on the professional name Wyn Hoop. In 1960, Hoop took part in the German Eurovision selection final, and his song "Bonne nuit ma chérie" was chosen to go forward to the fifth Eurovision Song Contest, held in London on 29 March. At the contest "Bonne nuit ma chérie" (which, despite its title, was sung in German) finished in joint fourth place of the 13 entries. Hoop recorded several successful German cover versions of English-language hits (such as " Are You Lonesome Tonight?") before joining forces in 1962 with Finnish singer Pirkko Mannola, with whom he recorded a number of popular tracks.
