Honeymoon (1973 Film)
''Honeymoon'' is a 1973 Bollywood comedy film, is a Rajshri Productions film, directed by Hiren Nag. The film stars Leena Chandavarkar and Anil Dhawan . Plot Two close friends, Neelu and Madhu, agree that men cannot be trusted, and as such decide to dump their current boyfriends, and marry someone else who meets with the approval of their parents. Shortly thereafter, Madhu is introduced to Chandrakant, whom she likes, and soon both are married. On their honeymoon, she meets with Neelu, who has married Deepak, also her parents' choice. Both are delighted to see other, and cannot wait to meet the others' spouse, little realizing the shock they will get when they do so. Hiren Naag is a former Bollywood director of Hindi films who is best known for his association with Tarachand Barjatya of Rajshri Productions for which he directed hit film ''Geet Gaata Chal'' (1975), the blockbuster Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se (1978) and another hit ''Abodh'' (1984). Utpal Dutt
Utpal Dutta () (29 March 1929 – 19 August 1993) was an Indian actor, director, and writer-playwright. He was primarily an actor in Bengali theatre, where he became a pioneering figure in Modern Indian theatre, when he founded the "Little Theatre Group" in 1949. This group enacted many English, Shakespearean and Brecht plays, in a period now known as the "Epic theatre" period, before it immersed itself completely in highly political and radical theatre. Ruby Myers (1907 – 10 October 1983), better known by her stage name Sulochana, was an Indian silent film actress of Jewish ancestry, from the community of Baghdadi Jews in India. In her heyday she was one of the highest paid actresses of her time, when she was paired with Dinshaw Bilimoria in Imperial Studios films. In the mid-1930 she opened Rubi Pics, a film production house. Myers was awarded the 1973 Dada Saheb Phalke Award, India's highest award in cinema for lifetime achievement. She adopted a girl and named her Sarah Myers who after marriage was called Vijaylaxmi Shreshtha. Myers died in Mumbai in 1983. Film career Ruby Myers was born in 1907 in Pune. Agha (21 March 1914 – 30 April 1992) was an Indian actor of Bollywood films. He was known for comic roles and modeled himself on Bob Hope's style of acting. He appeared in over 300 Hindi films in his career between 1935 and 1986. His son, Jalal Agha, also became an actor, mostly known for the song ''Mehbooba Mehbooba'' in ''Sholay'' (1975). Early life Agha Beg was born on 21 March 1914 at Fatima Nagar, Pune, British India. Purnima Das Verma (born Meherbhano Mohammad Ali; 2 March 1934 — 14 August 2013) was an Indian actress who worked predominantly in Hindi-language films. She was the aunt of director Mahesh Bhatt and grandmother of actor Emraan Hashmi. Personal life Meherbano Mohammad Ali was born on 2 March 1934. Jalal studied acting at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.
