Honeycreeper (album)
Honeycreeper is an album by Japanese pop band PUFFY that was released on September 26, 2007 in Japan. The album is notable for being the first Puffy album where "band Godfather", Andy Sturmer, is not credited for writing any of the songs. "Hasan Jauze" is a cover of a song by The Cro-Magnons, which was released within two weeks' time of the original. Current pressings of the album now have the cover that is used as the first pressing's tray liner picture. The first pressings of the album also had extra pages in the CD jacket booklet as well as differences in photo/lyric set-outs. Puffy have said in an interview that inspiration for the album's title name, 'Honeycreeper', came from a leaflet they had come across while on a vacation in Hawaii, and that it was the name for a type of bird, similar to the ones seen on the album's cover. The Merrymakers
The Merrymakers are a Sweden-based music duo composed of Anders Hellgren and David Myhr. Former members are Thomas Nyström, Kenneth Berg, Patrik Bergman and Peter Arffman. Hellgren and Myhr have been making music together since the 1990s. Their major releases include ''Andrew's Store'', ''No Sleep 'Til Famous'' and ''Bubblegun''. They have also written and produced songs for Puffy AmiYumi, Dorian Gray, Yuko Yamaguchi and Fujifabric. In March 2008, Anders Hellgren announced that work had begun on a new Merrymakers album, although this project seemed to be shelved in favor of David Myhr's solo album, ''Soundshine'', released in 2012. Sawao Yamanaka
are a Japanese alternative rock band formed in 1989. The group has released 22 studio albums, several Extended play, EPs and compilations, and over 40 singles. Outside Japan, they are best known as the group responsible for the soundtrack to the ''FLCL'' anime series. History Formation and early years (1989–1994) In 1989 Kenji Ueda, bassist for Kenzi & The Trips, left the band with former Kenzi's drummer Shinichiro Sato and invited The Coin Locker Babies vocalist Sawao Yamanaka to form a new band. Yoshii Kazuya
is a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter. He is best known as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the rock band The Yellow Monkey. When they went on hiatus in 2001, before officially disbanding three years later, Yoshii started a solo career in 2003 under the name Yoshii Lovinson. He switched back to his old name in 2006 and The Yellow Monkey reformed in 2016. Career Yoshii's first band was Urgh Police, which he joined in 1986 as bass guitarist under the stage name "Robin". After releasing a demo, an EP and one album, they disbanded. In 1988, Yoshii switched to guitar and formed a new group that included Youichi Hirose and Eiji Kikuchi, where he used the nickname "Lovin". Bradley Glenn "Butch" Walker (born November 14, 1969) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. He was the lead guitarist for the glam metal band SouthGang from the late 1980s to early 1990s as well as the lead vocalist and guitarist for rock band Marvelous 3 from 1997 until 2001. Career SouthGang Walker grew up in Cartersville, Georgia, working as a guitarist and performer in several rock bands in the 1980s, including Badd Boyz and Byte the Bullet. Byte the Bullet moved to Los Angeles in 1988 and were signed to Virgin Records within the year. Tamio Okuda
is a Japanese singer, songwriter, and producer. He started his career in 1986 as a member of the band Unicorn. After Unicorn broke up, Okuda moved on to a solo career in 1994 with the single "Ai no Tame ni". He has written and composed many songs for various artists, particularly Puffy. He is signed to Sony Music Japan. He was ranked number 25 in a list of Japan's top 100 musicians, provided by HMV Japan in 2003. His band Unicorn was also ranked at number 61.
