Honey Brook, Pennsylvania
Honey Brook is a borough in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population of the borough was 1,895 at the 2020 census. The borough is surrounded by Honey Brook Township, and both are referred to locally collectively as Honey Brook. History Honey Brook Township was divided from Nantmeal Township in 1789. The owner of the surrounding property, Andrew Boyer, established a town plan for the village of Waynesburg (named in honor of Revolutionary War general Mad Anthony Wayne) and began selling lots in June 1813. There is a story that this was done by a schoolmaster named Stinson, but all of the deeds reference Boyer as the owner with no mention of Stinson, and there was nobody named Stinson in the Federal 1810 or 1920 census reports for Chester County. This "myth" seems to have originated in the 19th century. The residents changed the name to Honey Brook in 1884. Mathew Madiro (born September 30, 1991) is an American musician. He is the current drummer for From Ashes to New and former drummer of heavy metal band Trivium. He was also the touring drummer for The Word Alive. Career Mathew Madiro played his first Trivium show on May 5, 2014 in Buffalo, NY, as Nick Augusto departed from the band the day before, while the band still was on a co-headlining tour with Volbeat. He had been working for Trivium as a drum technician for 2 years and did not have any experience as a touring musician or recording artist, except for practicing in some amateur local bands. John Castle (baseball)
John Francis Castle (June 1, 1879 – April 13, 1929) was an American outfielder in Major League Baseball. He played three games for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1910. After his appearance in Major League Baseball, he was a player-manager in the minor leagues for nine seasons beginning in 1911 with the Steubenville Stubs in Steubenville, Ohio. In 1912 he moved to the Lancaster Lanks in Lancaster, Ohio. On June 18, 1912, the team moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey to represent Atlantic City in the Tri-State League. Castle continued there in 1913, after which the team disbanded. In 1914, he was player-manager in Allentown, Pennsylvania. From 1915 to 1916 he was with the Quincy Gems in Quincy, Illinois. Elverson is a borough in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,332 at the 2020 census. Settled near the region's early iron mines, Elverson is close to Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site, an example of a 19th-century "iron plantation". History Elverson's earliest European settlers arrived in the late 18th century when the area was known as Springfield. Later dubbed Blue Rock after a deposit of peculiar rocks not far from the town, it remained largely rural until the arrival of the Wilmington and Northern Railroad in 1870. Caernarvon Township is a township in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The population was 4,252 at the 2020 census. It is often referred to as Morgantown, the township's largest village. History Caernarvon was so named by Welsh settlers after the town of Caernarfon in North Wales. In 1718, William Davies and a band of Welsh settlers obtained land warrants stretching from the headwaters of the Conestoga River and reaching several miles downstream. When Lancaster County was established in 1729, this region was given the name Caernarvon Township in honor of its inhabitants. When a portion of Lancaster County was transferred to the newly organized Berks County in 1752, the new boundary ran through existing Caernarvon Township as well as neighboring Brecknock Township.
