''Honest Raj'' is a 1994 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language action thriller film directed by K. S. Ravi. The film stars Vijayakanth, Gautami and Aamani, while Devan (actor), Devan, Manorama (Tamil actress), Manorama, Senthil, Vijayakumar (Tamil actor), Vijayakumar, and Nizhalgal Ravi play supporting roles. It marked the debut of Ravi K. Chandran in Tamil cinema. The film, produced by T. G. Thyagarajan, G. Thyagarajan, was released on 14 April 1994 to positive reviews. The film was remade in Hindi as ''Rakshak'' (1996). Plot "Honest" Raj (Vijayakanth), a police officer in a coma for four years, wakes up suddenly. Vijayakanth
Narayanan Vijayaraj Alagarswami (born 25 August 1952), better known by his stage name Vijayakanth, is an Indian politician and former actor who has worked predominantly in Tamil cinema. He was the Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Before entering politics Vijayakanth was a successful actor, producer and director. Vijayakanth is also the current DMDK chairman of Tamil Nadu legislative assembly. Ponnambalam (actor)
Ponnambalam (born 11 November 1963) is an Indian actor and stuntman who has predominantly appeared in Tamil language films. He is best known for playing antagonistic roles in Indian films during the 1990s, notably appearing in films such as ''Nattamai'' (1994), '' Muthu'' (1995) and ''Amarkalam'' (1999). Later in his career, Ponnambalam also appeared in a few leading roles, while also taking up the mantle of director and producer. The ''New Straits Times'' is an English-language newspaper published in Malaysia. ''Veera'' () is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Suresh Krissna and written by Panchu Arunachalam. It is a remake of the Telugu film ''Allari Mogudu'' (1992) and stars Rajinikanth, Meena and Roja with Janagaraj, Senthil, Vadivukkarasi, J. Puthandu (), also known as Puthuvarudam, and the Tamil New Year, is the first day of year on the Tamil calendar, traditionally celebrated as a festival by Tamil Hindus. Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (born 29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who is the highest songs wrote lyricist in cinema and whose works were in Tamil, had a five-decade long association with the Tamil film industry, wrote over 15,000 songs.
